@Akriel_Boulve: Actually it's derived directly from your arguments, and you're still using the word “attack” which you came up with yourself.
If you want to see it as an attack, that's your problem.
You said it's provably uncivil.
So prove it.

@Akriel_Boulve: That's entirely your opinion. If you don't like it, and want to arbitrarily call it an “attack”, that's your problem.

The pronunciation was so bad
I'm wondering if he did it on purpose to get more famous.
It's the kind of thing he'd do.
He's got the name and face of a psychopathic dystopian gameshow presenter.

@Akriel_Boulve: Hey I'm not attacking you, I'm just saying that I think you're mentally deficient. It's a very unfortunate state of affairs.
If you disagree with it that doesn't mean I'm being uncivil.

@ember_to_flame: And the RE2 remake probably only exists because of the success of the RE1 remake. And the RE3 remake didn't do half as well as the RE2 remake and yet the RE4 remake is still happening.

And RE4 remake definitely does not look like a port.
There's not a single assest there taken from the original game,
so there's nothing to port in the first place.
It is, absolutely and completely, a full remake.
The camera being in the same place does not change that.

If you start looking at what games we “need” and “don't need”,
we don't need any games at all. All video games are superfluous.
The point of games is to have fun,
so if the game comes out, and the players have fun, and score it high,
then it's no less legitimate than any other game, remake or not.

@Barighm: We know what a part of Capcom's motives are.

@Barighm: That only tells us that at least part/most of their motive is money.
Which we knew anyway, and is the case with all AAA games.
I was objecting to the definitive assertion that it's “just” for the money.

@ember_to_flame: You can't just say remake A and B are legitimate
while C and D are just for the money.
There's no year at which you can just draw a line between,
“This person respects me, but that one doesn't and just wants money.”

Resident Evil 4 (2023) isn't even out yet
and you're already claiming you know the motives of the devs.
You don't know anything about the game yet.

How do you know the FF7 and RE2 remake people
weren't just in it for the money?
You don't know anything about them either.

@treechopper88: Well you have to define “exact same” then.
Because it's obviously not the exact same or it wouldn't even be a remaster.
It'd be the exact same.

@nilsdoen: Woah woah. Where did all that come from? Someone needs to relax.
