While the mood of these games is often light, childish, (almost annoying so for me), the level design in a lot of these games is brilliant. I was very impressed by the Mario Galaxy games. I thought Mario's sun had set, but those games proved otherwise.  As for the mood, sometimes I guess I need it. Last week I finished Spec Ops the Line which kinda messed me up :)  Mario Galaxy to the rescue!

I usually tend toward more physical. However, in Dragon Age Origins I found myself pausing and needing to use my mages so much that I restarted a game as a mage character. Really enjoyed the magic in that game.

One of my goals for this year is to start writing about games. I don't hope to make a career out of this or anything, but I do like writing, love video games, and I'd like to get better at writing about games and get more involved in dialogue in the online community. I started a wordpress blog over here over the weekend, but I'm not sure if that's really the best place to start. I tried tumblr, but I'm not sure I like that too much. I used to use blogger back in the day as well and that seemed fine. Anyway, I'm wondering what people think of these platforms.

My goal is to get my writing seen a bit more and also get feedback. Maybe I'm a terrible writer and I don't even know it :)  Anyway, I'd love some input from folks who write. What's a good way to get noticed and get my writing out there?

Also - open to blog name suggestions. Right now it's just my own name, but it might be good to have a different title. Suggest away! Thanks everyone.
