And so the journey begins!

So i just got my PS4 today and ive had a few hours with it.

(add me Navyguy212, had to start another because Navyguy211 wouldnt transfer for some reason)

So far so good. Far and away better than PS3 and improved in so many ways other than media streaming.

Feel free to add me, i need friends! lol.

I have to say, it is better than XB1 in many ways. What is your opinion of both consoles so far and what do you guys think each need to improve on? Was it too early to buy one?

Watch Dogs was THE game of the show!!!

E3 has been rather lackluster so far, with nothing but sequels and new hardware features nobody cares announced and whatnot. But then, Ubisoft came along and blew everybody out of the water with a brand new IP ? surprising, as those are rare in E3 ? and?well, it?s probably the first game in E3 2012 that looks absolutely amazing. In the game?s setting, everything is connected via computers?and thus, all that Hollywood hacking you always in movies is not only feasible, but logical. We see the protagonist gaining information of people in his immediate surroundings, with notifications about how possible it is that an NPC will take violent action against him, or an NPC?s criminal record, for example. It?s probably the most amazing game we?ll see in E3, and in such little time, has made quite a name for itself. It?s too awesome for words! Check the footage!

Finally feeling the Pinch

So the economy has been terrible for a while, but ive been blessed enough to be able to afford all the games i wanted........when i wanted..........until now :P. It seems like the perfect storm has finally come together for me and i have to make some tough decisions on what i want to get first, and what to wait for. Normally i start a new semester AFTER the holidays, but this year it comes before, so naturally i have to pay $1500 out of pocket. Couple that with the need to buy gifts for the holidays and you can see my problem. Here are the games i want, what games do you recommend i get first and which should i wait for and why......Skyrim is a given :P

1.Gears 3

2. Skyrim

3. Saints Row 3

4. Uncharted 3

5. Deus Ex

6. Batman AC

7. Battlefield 3

8. Dark Souls

9. Rage

10. Halo Anniversary

11. ICO Collection

I need a Bulletstorm!!

So i just played the demo and Oh.......My...........GOSH!! The game was soooo fun!! Im thinking about buying it day 1 now. I thought the Crysis 2 demo was average. I played that one first because i thought it would be good, but i enjoyed Bulletstorm WAY more! I think it was more fun that Gears 2. Congrats to People Can Fly, they are making one hell of a game. I hope it does really well, they deserve it :)

We are about to Kinect

kn

Microsoft's answer to the Wii lands today.

And if you live under a rock thick enough to have protected you from this information, let me outline it a bit for you. It's a camera, not unlike the eye toy, that uses your body as the controller. But this is no eye toy, oh no. This camera is much more sophisticated, and tracks what is essentially your skeleton in a 3D space, which it then uses as a controller.

Now I'm sure many of you are already dismissing this as an exercise in casualness, but let me tell you, you're pretty much right.

I played Kinect about two weeks back at my local Kinect store, and the games they had for us to try were Kinect Adventures, Kinect Sports, Kinectimals, Kinect Joy Ride, and Dance Central. Now I by no means played enough of the games to write a full review, but I will tell you that when I went back to the store a week ago, they were not nearly as fun. In fact, despite what I originally expected, some weren't even as fun as their Wii counterparts, Kinect Sports and Kinect Joy Ride being the worst offenders. The tiger I got to play with in Kinectimals was extremely cute though, almost to the point of agony.

So yeah, Kinect launches today, and if you've got a spare $150, you can go pick it up if you don't mind battling, battling your way through hoards of parents and children to get it. And you'll have these games to look forward to once you've wrestled one from the grip of the once-kindly old grandmother named Mavis:

  • Kinect Adventures (Microsoft Game Studios)
  • Kinectimals (Frontier Studio/Microsoft Game Studios)
  • Kinect Joy Ride (Big Park/Microsoft Game Studios)
  • Kinect Sports (Rare/Microsoft Game Studios)
  • Dance Central (MTV Games)
  • Your Shape: Fitness Evolved (Ubisoft)
  • EA Sports Active 2 (EA)
  • Deca Sports Freedom (Hudson)
  • Dance Masters (Konami)
  • Adrenalin Misfits (Konami)
  • Zumba Fitness (Majesco)
  • Sonic Free Riders (Sega)
  • The Biggest Loser: Ultimate Workout (THQ)
  • Motion Sports (Ubisoft)
  • Game Party: In Motion (Warner Bros.)

Weird Urges

For some reason, i have had the urge to play through Uncharted 1 again. It has been that, Jade Empire, and MGS4 on my mind, so i will be playing through those again. I will probably start with Uncharted 1 and Jade Empire. What older game have you had the urge to play and why?

Introducing myself (Better late than never lol)

Ok, ive been posing here for years (this is my second account, forgot the password to the first :P ). I own all 3 consoles (and a Gaming PC) and i consider myself to be a fair person. The reason im doing this is because on the internet, people can form their own opinions of you, so i wanted to let my fellow Gamespot community know who was on the other end of the monitor. Im really a soft, friendly kinda guy :P I smile all the time, and i love games. Just wanted you guys to know that i am a nice guy, even though i am a big guy :P (im 6 foot 3 inches, 220 pounds) So those that i may have dialogue with in the future, im a lighthearted and fun guy, and i dont take any of this personal, im here to have fun :D Feel free to let me know what your opinion of me here on Gamespot. Good or bad, i want to hear it :P

Got Rain??

Heavy Rain

Ok, so I finally got the Heavy Rain demo early from the site. I had high expectations for it since i played Indigo Prophecy. The demo was absolutely amazing! I dont know why people shrug it off as "a long QTE" because its more than that. Its an action/adventure game, and a breath of fresh air among all the reused and recycled games of today. I cant wait to pick up my preorder! Let me know what you thought of the demo in the comments!

Microsoft Re-Charging For Game Room Arcade Games

At this year's CES convention, Microsoft unveiled its plan to create an Xbox Live Game Room where you can go and play arcade c.lassics. Through the years we've had ample opportunities to play cherished titles like Tempest – perhaps you've already bought some of those games via Xbox Live Arcade. Now, the 360's Game Room is going to make you pay for them again.

Any Game Room arcade titles that you may have already bought as Xbox Live Arcade games won't transfer over to the Game Room, which is due this spring. We talked to a Microsoft representative on the topic, who told us that the company considers the Game Room titles different from their XBLA counterparts because they are the original versions and not "revamped" like those on XBLA. Game Room games will cost between 240 and 400 MS points, so even though you may have to buy them a second time, they should at least be cheaper than those you've already bought.

Would you buy any of these c.lassic titles a second time just to have the original arcade version, or are you fine with the enhanced XBLA ones you already paid for?
