I am a huge fan of both series.  I like Silent Hill because of the disturbingly twisted creatures and storylines and also beacuse of how scary it is.  But I also like Resident Evil for all the same reasons....  I think Capcom will look at how good they did with RE4 and go in that general direction when making RE5.  And as for Konami.......I think they should keep doing what they have done with the previous Silent Hill games.  Of course both Capcom and Konami should add in some new elements but try and keep it the way the fans like.......
