So E3 Is over and was jammed packed full of gaming goodness that made us all 'stick a disc in the drive' or open steam and just play a game!. I scoured my library on Steam eagerly wanting to fix my pixel with drawl. I decided Skyrim was going to fix that for me.
Midway it got me thinking.. So where do PC User stand with the news of the next-gen Console on the horizon?.
You can't argue that for both consoles the games that were showed look truly great and somewhat looked liked they were streamed from the PC!.
As any avid PC gamer will know, When a game that's released for console ends up on your PC there is always that worry, Will it work? Is it ported correctly? Can i key-bind the way i want it?. And a few times you've had to resort to Google and type in your problem then BLAM! there's pages of people experiencing the same problem as you!
" time to make a coffee and finish of what the devs didn't!"
If you got over your hurdles it was GAME ON! But again there's always that feeling of restrictive play "if only this or that game was made for PC i could go there" as it were. Just look at the PC only titles and and see how large the world in which you play your game in is compared to our lesser powered Friends.
So the niggling thing on my mind and perhaps a few other PC gamers. Where do we stand? Are we set to benefit from perhaps better ports? And maybe better games in the long run? Or are we just the copy and paste and diy community? Or the worryingly thing of all. Will this kinect and eye take off and be made compulsory to be able to get the most out of your game?
I Personally feel a bit concerned that we (pc gamers) might get less love as an end result.. Or maybe it will be pan out in our favour.. For once.
