no reason you can't enjoy them both ... i've owned every gta... sr2 (horrible port but still worth playing i think)... my real concern with sr:tt is the fact they are whoring the hell out of the game and been planning on it before the game was even fishined(40 weeks worth of DLCs(Almost a years worth before the game was finished)... games tend to suffer when companies do this... more then one company has cut original content just to sell it back to you (a practise i do not support) ... i'd recomend trying it out ... but wait for a "complete" ce/se/goty ed...
not to mention how much "real life" merchantdicing they are selling that gives you same products in game(shoes clothes wallets headphones)... if this was just in game it would be a funny statement in line with the humor of the game but because they are doing it for real... it is just selling out ...make me question supoorting them at all...
also as much as they have been bragging that this isn't a port ... the promise of more information on it ... the only PC info besides specs has been a single PICTURE of the game being played across 3 monitors... they brag it's not a port .... promise more PC info but don't "show off" their product .... they promise more ... but give is a single picture... after SR2 ... i have to wonder what they are hiding... why the smoke and mirrors ... why aren't they showing off after braging it's not a port.... no pc screenshots.... no pc gameplay videos.... they screw us with sr2(yes it was done "out of house" but thq/volition still had final say ... they approved it ... they released it) and expect us to have blind faith...
resist ... they have 40 week of dlc planned ... they been planning them since before the game was finished... most whored out game i've seen been gaming along time... better to wait for an all in one (se/ce/gotye) version i.m.o. on this one...
believe rockstar has already confirmed it when they said they weren't making RDR because of technical/financial reasons

Just because Rockstar refused to bring RDR to the PC does not = No GTA 5 on the PC. I have my suspicions why RDR isn't coming to the PC but I am not going to share them on here because I don't want another argument. However GTA 5 is not RDR so I think it is a pretty fair assumption that it will come to the PC. The real question the OP should ask is "how long will they have to wait till after the console release for the PC version ?" and "just what kind of sorry port will Rockstar try and shove down PC gamers throats this time ?".
i never said that no rdr pc = no gta 5 pc....when rockstar talked about not bringing RDR to the PC they stated that they'd hope PC users would be happy with their other PC titles GTA seriers was one specifically mentioned ... confirming GTA5 comming to the PC ... if you read between the lines in their statement
5 months ago i was more hyped about this game then i am now.... between the "40 weeks of dlcs" planned before the game was even completed(if histroy is anything they cut original content to sell it to us)(they didn't start the DLC planning AFTER completion)... the lack of "PC info in the comming weeks" they promissed back in may it's now 3 weeks from release day and the only "pc info" is a singlepicture and them saying "we told you it's not a port" ... with SR2 bitter taste in the mouth i think PC users desvere more then a picture...they want us to trust them... but have done nothing to us PC users to make us trust them.... give us a horrid PC port... (fanboys blame it on CD PROJECT all you want but THQ(volitions masters) had final say ... they APPROVED it ... THEY released it ... personally i'm shelving my hype on this one for a CE/SE/GOTYED. with all the DLCs included... to me they don't seem very good at keeping their word....
***EDIT i've been gaming a long time.... with out a doubt in my mind.... this is the most WHORED OUT game i have come across in my lifetime of gaming(selling RL/In game items).... to be totally honest to the point where if it were just in game... i would think they were making a funny statement in line with the humor of the series...but because they are seriously doing it ... it's more of a sad sellout...
i think the hard numbers population percent wise .... is probably about the same as it always has been .... i think peoples awareness of it has inscreased giving the perception that it's increasing... business will claim every pirated copy = lost sale... pirates will claim that pirating sells..... reality is somewhere inbetween...
