And anyone saying this is possible on PS4 is flat out lying. Sony does not have the infrastructure to maintain such a stressful task. Sony has a hard time keeping its normal internet online as it is lol! Maybe next gen itll be a possibility for Sony. But wait, they were hoping they could move everything to PSNow werent they? : )
@draign: The tech behind this is truly next gen. I have not seen anything on the PC, PS4 or Nintendo that rivals this. This game is going to be a blast to play and it is only playable on the Xbox One. I am SOOOO glad that I did not make a huge mistake and purchase the PS4. I was literally a mouse click way from purchasing it on Amazing. Instead, I got the Xbox one. :) I could not be happier know what MS has in store for it.
Which is semantics. Yes the X1 isn't the most powerful console by itself. But the X1 can run games that other consoles don't have the power to as long as you have internet. Either way, regardless of the hardware, If you have internet, the X1 becomes more powerful then it's local hardware alone. I mean if a company made a device that had crappy specs but allowed it to tap into power of servers it would be worth more then another local device that doesn't
But that's still not true. Any platform with the internet can have a game like Crackdown 3. Just because Crackdown 3 is being made on the Xbox One doe't mean the Xbox One is more powerful. This really has nothing to do with the strength of the individual console at all.
MS is finally delivering on their promise...to have a system that can tap into the power of the cloud to make it more powerful. Truly amazing. I can finally say, with great satisfaction, that "next gen" is finally here. Thanks MS, for having the balls and taking the chance to make this happen. They are risk takers and I for one can appreciate that. I am backing them from here on out.
But what really has us so excited is that this is not technology for technology’s sake. Developer Reagent Games haven’t spent years inventing ways to make slightly more realistic looking moustaches (yes, that was a dig at The Order: 1886), they’ve used it to create something that would’ve been completely impossible in the previous generation.
