@Wasdie: These truly are exciting times to be an Xbox One owner and MS supporter. They have the best and most exciting technologies. Here I was, one of the many uneducated fools that thought the PS4 was the most powerful system.....boy I do feel like an idiot. I am so glad that I watched the conference and educated myself before it was too late and purchased a PS4. I will soon be a happy Xbox One owner....as soon as it arrives in the mail that is. ;)

It's not the Xbox One that is powerful, it's the dedicated servers running the sessions. Any platform can do this. It's literally all in the hands of the developer.

Lots of risks associated with this. Crackdown 3 will be always online and will soak up some bandwidth. I predict a lot of desync issues on weaker connections as well. Speed is only part of the case, you'll need a really solid connection with minimal packet loss for this to work well.

It's no different than most MMOs on the market. The server handles all of the heavy lifting while the clients send and receive data. Star Citizen is utilizing this kind of physics processing quite a bit so they can have the massive ships all being driven by physics in a persistent environment.

Nice try, buddy. Even the developers have said that they are optimizing the engine and game to work well on a 2-4 mbps connection. Nice try. Next?

@morf-muziks: Nice try buddy...even a reputable site like GamesRadar is impressed with the tech......and thus far, only on the Xbox One! :)

Optimized for 2-4 mbps ..damn. The author sounds ecstatic. I hope it works as he describes it, looking forward to seeing it in action.

I know....can you believe it....this is crazy amazing tech. This is only something the likes of MS could pull off. I am SO glad I did not purchase a PS4 and got the Xbox One instead. I literally had the PS4 in my shopping cart on Amazon and was ready to check out. I am glad that I watched the MS conference the other day. It convinced me after seeing the amazing games coming out....especially the tech behind CrackDown 3. Simply outstanding and blows the competition out of the water.

@augustevans: Nice try, buddy...MS does not shutdown it's servers for online games. If and when they do, I will be on to the next big thing. I am SO glad I held out and ordered the Xbox One rather than the PS4. I was so close to pulling the trigger for the PS4 until I saw the Xbox conference the other day. I almost made a huge mistake and ordered the PS4. The Xbox is where it is at with all the exciting tech and games that push the boundaries that only MS can provide.

All I can say is WOW!! MS is really on a roll and the Xbox One is on FIRE! Windows 10 releases and now the Xbox One is finally starting to flex it's muscle. Tis a good time to be a MS and Xbox supporter. I am so glad I just ordered my Xbox One instead of a PS4. I am one happy hombre. :)

OH MY GOD!!!! EPIC!!!!

Fantastic conference. MS absolutely killed it! I was seriously deliberating on whether I should get the PS4 or Xbox One. With it's current library & features, up coming amazing games and features and Xbox Live, I would be a complete moron not to get the Xbox One. I was worried about the power difference between the two consoles, but after viewing today's conference, I am not worried at all. The Xbox One is fully capable of producing equal (or close enough) visual to the PS4. I'm off to order an Xbox One. :)
