You know now adays most sequels to games either lack the quality of the first game, are a dissapointment, or don't have the same 'magic' to it. Not the case with Banjo-Tooie, it completely owns the original, for some reason when I was 9 the first game gave me a strange 'alone' feeling, I guess maybe because of the color scheme and the level design. Plus Tooie had multi which I remember being fun (it even had an fps scenario in SP and MP).

You know what UT stands for? A tournament! Theres no story beyond the tournament so there wont be any hl2, gears, halo type of singleplayer.

The singleplayer is basicly you entering the tournament and kicking the computers ass in it. Just like its been in every UT so far.

Pessu

Ever wondered why the name Unreal was in the name of Unreal Tournament? because it was based on this game

So what Unreal Tournament really is, is a online multiplayer shooter based on a singleplayer shooter. Which is what I was hoping to see in UT3.

this game is superb. the reason the melee system wasnt included in ut was because ut was more focus on more tactical type gametypes, and uc more on the DM side.

but this game really does rock so forget what you heard lol

footballa27

I meant in terms of sales, besides the achilles (Spelling?)heel to online multi focused games like the UT/UC series is that the number of online players, basically decides weather it will be enjoyable or not. and I went to the gamefaqs forum for this and not only is it dead but the few that were there said there aren't many on there, whichis not fun. This game features splitscreen but it was really meant for online, unless there are bots, and even if there were it still wouldn't be the same experiance and I can't have my 3 friends with me anytime I want to play a session.

Are there any mods that mimics the gameplay (or at least the maps) of UC 2?

Same old Same old....every 2 years or so 'Oh yeah, the game is almost complete' 'The devs have done signifigant progress' and then 'we still need to polish it out a little' 'the game is being delayed by the publisher' 'this game is 10 year old april fools joke' oh wait they don't say the last thing, but thats what I see anytime I read about this game.

I don't have the game but I love the premise and I have some questions for any Unreal fans

Is there any reason why the melee system isn't included in UT3?

Would you like to see a port to the PC/ a mod for UT3 or UT2004

Is there any chance of a sequel, I heard this game didn't do as well as Epic wanted it to do

What the hell?

The Turok series pretty much established itself as an FPS that had an exploration element to it (a prototype of Metroid Prime, which some of the makers of the games would go on to make) It also had a mix of future (lasers, guns, tanks) and Past (Dinosaurs) which made it unique. Now this reboot of Turok looks good for ANOTHER game series, some will say that the series needs to changeand that I should get used to it, but the fact is when I see a game with the name Turok on it I expect the things I mentioned before, it's like putting shotguns in Virtua Fighter because the series needs to change to attract new fans.

There are some elements of the previous turok games in this game but its very subtle.

So I just saw a vid for this game and there is what appears to be in a Hummer in it. Does the game explain why their still using land vehicles in 2020, in Perfect Dark they have hover cars.

I swear each year it is getting worse and worse. There has to be some board room with soccer moms, extreme libertarians, and hippies that conjure up possible offensive things for each and every holiday.

Let me guess one for Christmas 2008...

"Santa's elves are offensive because they are portrayed as sweat shop workers in an acceptable manner!"

Disturbed_Dude

The sad part is I really do see that happening in the near future, the elves will probably stop being small because its offensive to midgets.

Bill900

Funny, where I'm from its 'gardening tool, gardening tool, gardening tool'

[QUOTE="newhenpal"]Well, I didn't, I didn't say sony came up with the idea, I said they should have gone the ps3 route. Simple.

And I didn't generalize, I simply theorized as to why SOME hardcore gamers may not like the wii. Simple.

foxhound_fox

You used the word "might" not "gone." I was confused about the wording and interpreted incorrectly.

I read the tpoic title as "wii doesn't appeal to hardcore players." Perhaps choosing a better wording might lead to less misinterpretation. Such as: "I think {one reason} why some hardcore gamers may not like the wii {is}..."

You generalized and said "doesn't" and "hardcore players." You didn't specify "some" or "may."

Well I did word it as 'hardcore' so as to not say what exactly qualifies as hardcore.
