The Death of Scooter.

As any Yankee fan, I was not only shocked, but hurt when I heard one of my favorite Yankees of all-time, Phil Rizzuto, was dead at age 89. I understand it was his time to go, and that he was the oldest living Hall of Famer alive, but Rizzuto was always one of my heroes, and he was a great ballplayer and all-around person. I met him in 1998, when the Yankees won the series, as well as Derek Jeter and Roger Clemens, but Rizzuto was very nice to me, my family, and my friends, and Rizzuto will always be in my Yankee heart.

He will be dearly missed.

So long, Phil "Scooter" Rizzuto, your memory will live throughout Yankees fans forever.
