GoW Review Submitted & The Hunt For PSP Games

Just wrapped up a very belated review of God of War. I was thinking about it and I don't think I've invested enough time to really enjoying my PSP. So I think for at least the next few months maybe year and a half I want to start looking up the hottest games for the PSP. I'm most likely going to favor genres like action, adventure, rpg and racing. But what I am not sure of at this point it whether or not I should treat my PSP like a Mini-Arcade or if I should just get whatever game looks the most amazing in terms of technical achievement. As that is usually a good sign that every other aspect of the game is also respectable.

Hmmmmmm.... Really torn on this one. Well hell if it comes down to is I'll just buy both I suppose. Open to suggestions.

Game Designers

So I was thinking, and you guys know how much I hate doing that... Why is it that most game designers keep looking back on their previous work. There isn't any real point in doing this unless you are just looking at the mistakes of the past and what you really are aiming for next time around. I think thats why I like game companies like Lionhead Studios, Blizzard Entertainment and id Software. They just have a nack for I guess making great games, not only for their time. But games that seem to transcend time itself. For example, I was playing Diablo 1 the other day and I actually had more fun playing that then I did playing GTA:Vice City. Now don't get me wrong I'm not saying Vice City is old and not fun anymore but for me thats the case. Anyways, I just read the CoD4 'Hand On' review, I gotta say that game looks pretty great. I'm even more impressed that Infinity Ward is coming away from the WW2 genre, I think that coupled with their amazing work in previous games plays together in a way that just overwhelms the viewer. I mean, if this game does turn out as smooth, crisp and clean as CoD1 and 2, there is no stopping them.

Sony strikes again!

It was only a matter of time before some well established reviewer on gamespot took the plung with the pre-ordering of a PS3.

But with respect to Sony, they will pay for this mistake way more in the long run than any number of fanatics will.

I don't blame Greg for being an impulsive buyer, cause chances are if I really thought about it long enough I'd probably take the plung as well.

I'm still holding onto my PS2 though, I don't see why anyone would switch console generations after only a little over half a decade.

I love Sony as a name brand buyer. But at the same time I hate how traped they make us feel when it comes to purchasing crap we really don't need.
