i have Rainbow Six Vegas 2 on the ps3, with a non HD tv and the graphics looks tons better than they do on these screens, they look more bright and more textured even on the TV i use...... Gamespot have got some photography problems, they seem to take crappy shots for the ps3 and good ones for the xbox 360.

i agree with lotrgamer7. its all to do with the game designers. the ps3 has more potential than the xbox 360, its just that the game designers cant be bothered making the games graphics again (and better) for the ps3. thats why the ps3's exclusives look better than the x360 in most cases. i found out that you can also make the ps3 graphics look the same as the 360 on gta 4 by turning off the flicker filter, getting rid of most of the fuzziness.
