The scheduled downtime is due to the implementation of the "NewXboxExperience."For those of you who have been living under rock, the 360's dashboard is getting substantial changes, avatars will be implemented, Netflix streamingdownloadswill be added, and a bunch of new community features will be adopted.
This bit of downtime news got many excited as to the service possibly being implemented on Tuesday.However, according to a Rock Band 2 ad banner on XBL,the "New Xbox Experience" will most likely be delivered to consumers in November.
The maintence has begun as everybody else on xbox live has noticed. I suspected a while ago that this was a secretive way of microsoft not letting us know, to suprise us about the new Xbox Experience. But just 5 mins ago, I went to a "My Xbox" page about the new xbox experience. As soon as I tried to move around the page, it had a message at the top, clearly stating, "We'll be back soon with amazing new My Xbox® features!" Don't belive me, heres the link,http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/nxe/Obviously since it will be back tomorrow, new features has to also be on the Xbox 360.
