@wiouds: OK, I never tried journey, but it looked interesting. The gameplay was supposed to be focused on people working together on multiplayer, according to the developer. She gave a talk I saw on youtube.

@wiouds: That is interesting. Do you have any specific titles as an example of this? I play a game called biocode x, because I like it more than Minecraft. These are both indepedent games, but they are different. Biocode x is more realistic, it also performs better, I also simply enjoy playing it more, is it a gimmick? No, I don't think so. Biocode X is the only indie game I play, except for the occasional Minecraft PE on my phone. I can't wait till Biocode X comes out on Android.

I find this true for myself as well. It seems that although making games for a living sounds fun, it is actually more difficult than it seems. At least when they are compared to AAA games like Call of Duty, which cost millions to produce.

These days there is so much hype about independent game developers. I recently saw Indie Game: The Movie, and it got me wondering if people play more big game titles, if you prefer indie games, or whether it matters to you or not if a game is made by a small company or a large one.

The game you described reminds me of a bubble shooting game called boppin'.

I think you are referring to the resolution. In modern systems HD video in 720p, 1080p or 4k render a single pixel not clearly visible to the naked eye. When the resolution is low, the squares that make up the image become noticable, which make it feel grainy as opposed to a smooth clean feel. Hope this helps.

I agree that Skyrim has bad combat, it feels like the characters are too stiff. One thing I think Japanese RPGs do well is simulate a fluid body mechanic, Zelda often achieved this very well.
