New house & game set up

Just about settled into the new house. The study is still the home of the laptop, but the living room is very much the console shrine. The room has a much better layout than the old place & with a bit of help from Ikea, all the consoles are stowed away safely beneath the TV.

New space makes using the Wii a hell of a lot better, & since a group effort, its not so shameful to stand on the balence board although it still squeaks "too high!" when I stand on it.

The Holy Trinity

I bought an X-Box 360 on boxing day. I now have all three next gen consoles. Some say I'm spoilt, some say I'm a nerd, Gamestation say I keep them in Business, I say that it's a reward for having to work christmas eve and christmas day.

Slowly making my way throught Gears of war at the moment. I just need to get another tv as Naomi is still glued to LBP on the PS£. I've got her viva pinyata for the x-box so that she isn't neglected.

lost in games

For the first time ever, there is a rota as to who gets to play on the PS3. In the past, Naomi has shown no interest in the console, instead kidnapping my DS, however all this has changed since I bought Little Big Planet.

She is now using the PS3 on a regular basis, often getting quite upset when something bad happens to her little sackperson. Normaly I would be thrilled that we now share a new interest, but I'm dying to get my hands on the PS3 so I can pick up where I left off in Fallout 3, searching for quantum cola & bobbleheads.

All change

Have stick insects (11 of them) which are very entertaining, even if they do scare the heck out of my partner.

We're moving to a bigger place, so we'll have a study where we can set up the lap top & put in a TV, so I'm very happy. The wii will be in the living room though, as it tends to be the focus of a lot of our parties. food, drink & mario cart!

All in all, I'm very happy.

Stick Insect Redux

Hopefully the aforementioned stick insects will arrive today. I'm getting five in total. They're going to be Indian stick insects as they're easy to look after.

Stick Insects

I am hopefully about to become the proud owner of some stick insects (getting two as they like company). I've been reading up about them online, I have to say they seem cheep & easy to look after.

Hoping to go & buy a tank for them next weekend. I plan to call one Marmite, I'll probably let Naomi name the other one.

Loss of gear!

It's a bit annoying. I took the wii to my parents in early december ( I thought a spot of golf after x-mas dinner might be fun ), but seldom got anywhere near it. In the lead up to christmas I bought a wii zapper complete with Links Crossbow training & set it up in the hope of getting some shooting practise in readyness for resident evil umbrella chronicles.

To my horror, Mum effectivly hi-jacked my console, laying waste to goblins, skulltulas & anything else she could shoot at! As it was Mum who did all the cooking (I was still nursing a sutured, post op, wrist), we thought that we should leave her to it. It was early January before I got it back!

Now to my DS lite. As my partner is recovering from knee surgery (well if you will keep playing rugby), the DS has been pressed into service to keep boredom at bay.

I'm reduced to the PS3, I'm eagerly awaiting the delivery of the Shivering Ilse disc for Oblivion, to ease my suffering.

Got my PC back

Finally managed to get my PC back from my parents. However, as it hasn't been used for over a year it's pretty damn slow. I've been doing all of my online stuff at work which hasn't been idea. Just got to get it some new anti viral & get it online for some software updates & hopefully all will be well.:)
