I have been playing videogames since I was 5 or 6 years old, that's over 30+ years ago. I am the older brother of two. When we were growing up this video / computer game addiction started at a very early age. My parents always had family over and videogames was our "babysitter" We started on Commodore64, Atari, CollecoVision, Intellivision, Nintendo, and then worked our way to the current gaming consoles Nintendo Gamecube, Xbox & Playstation2 along with the thousands spent on PC games. I recently got back into the game consoles with the PS3 and the XBOX360 hype. Our father was a data analyst / programmer and we sorta followed in his footsteps. We had our hands on the computer in the early stages of the internet. I remember using DOS in grade 6 and feel in love with computers. I even remember owning 8086 PCs and running the old Microsoft Windows 1.0 to the 3.0. Then in the mid 90's we got into the whole Win95, NT and the internet hype and been truly addicted since then. We spent countless hours at the arcade too, spending all our allowance playing PacMan & DonkeyKong and other games. I like Robotron and DigDug as one of my all time favorites. As the games evolved, the one truly game we wasted time and money on was Mortal Kombat, my brother and I spent way too much time at the arcades. My bro always loved and perfected using SubZero from the original MK1 and kept playing the same character till the current version MK4. As for me, I started with Scorpion & Raiden, then changed to Smoke then back to Raiden. And bro would always kick my butt, cause SubZero in my opinion is the best overall character to use in the game. Our love for Mortal Kombat has travelled to online games, played many online games Mass Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game, MMORPG, we used Scorpion and Suzero as our handles or character names for countless games like Diablo, Meridian59, UltimaOnline, Everquest, Asheron's Call, DarkAge of Camelot, Legend of Mir, etc, I mainly play games on the PC, mostly RTS (Real Time Strategy) and 1st Person Shooters, both stand alone or linked. We both grew up with computers and now have jobs because of them.
