Big guns? If you need an MMO-RPG, get Firefall. They got a ver.1.1 patch right now and they've added Elemental damage to their guns (poison, electricity, plasma, etc.)

Damn, loved that game. Finished the trilogy! However, just couldn't find any friends for the multiplayer. What a great RTS - awesome, funny units, quirky but effective battle formations, and great lore / plot. One of the best games I played back then.
Grim Fandango.
Either get it now (the old, original version)...or wait for the remake. If they stick to the storyline, it's a guaranteed "touching" game that you'll love.
You may have a disorder. Have you seen Hoarders? Hehe...although seriously, yeah gaming and collecting games is an expensive hobby (any hobby has its costs)...so if you feel like collecting games for your shelf, nothing wrong with that...just be realistic as to your means. Coz, you're scaring people, dude. (I'm kidding!)
Well, for most MMO's, yes, the PvP and unlocking of the more interesting game mechanics actually really only starts at levels 25 and above (usually at 25, 30, and 35, depending on the game).
Captain Commando took up a lot of my arcade time years ago, and I was pretty happy he was in the MvC series ;)
Just make the roster bigger - more of both (Capcom and Marvel)...but yeah, make boss fights, not just Galactus, but major baddies and heroes. Here's my list:
Bad guys: Apocalypse, Mephisto, Destroyer, Frost Giants, Ronan the Accuser, Annihilus, Stryfe, etc...bring back Thanos,Onslaught
New heroes? Namor, Blackbolt, Daredevil, Punisher, Antman, Spiderwoman
The list goes on, lots of Marvel stuff they could use!
Also, rip off Fallout 2 and do a decent, story-driven adventure game (Yes, like Marvel browser games) - turn-based or not, just make it a team / squad thing.
First truly "into it" MMO, Firefall. I usually play a mixed bag of PC and console games - more that are easy to pick-up and play, mostly arcade. With Firefall it's both an FPS and an MMO that's not my usual, but damn, I got sucked into it.
