I actually like these specs. Hope it is true. If Sony keeps the big investment in first party developed games, I'll buy their console even though I prefer a weaker and cheaper console.

But if true, I have a feeling the PS4 will get a bunch of PC ports.

Keep dreaming junior. That gpu costs $440 alone. So even if Sony pays $100 per chip there is no way the console will be less than $700 after you factor in the rest of the parts and R&D and advertising. 7970 LMFAO.

diablo 3 and sc2 are graphically inferior? this is the first i'm hearing of it. i can't recall any consoles games that look even close to as good as these two games.

This kinda morons are what makes me ashamed of the PC fanbase sometimes.

seeing as how a competent GPU only costs what 2 new release console games costs, i agree with him. what if a new 360 only cost $120 and people were crying about having to upgrade every 3 years or so? that would get annoying.

I'm playing Diablo 3 (8.5 on GS and higher on MC) and crusader Kings 2 (8.0 on GS) atm and yes a cookie would be awesome thanks! :)

Not to mention Shogun 2 fall of the Samurai(8.5),Lone Survivor(8.5),Superbrothers: Sword & Sorcery(9.0),Tribes Ascend(87 on MC),Legend of Grimrock(8.0),Wargame: European Escalation(8.5),Botanicula(8.5),Dear Esther(8.0),among others and all the best version of multiplats,no other system is even close this year.

can i play? Dawn of war 2:Retribution 8.5, SC2 9.5, Civilization V 8-9(can't remember, don't actually really care lol)

Cost: It costs a lot, but on the long run the games are cheaper, so it's like this:

1 PC + 20 games = 800?

1 console + 20 games (all about 60?) = a lot more, I don't feel like doing math now

let me teach you a trick. if you are working with "big" round numbers like 20 and 60 you can drop the zeroes and then add them after. like this. 2*6=12, now we add the two zeroes we dropped earlier to get 1,200. now we add $200 for the price of the console and we get 1,400. usually i do that in my head, but i thought i'd show you the steps since you think it's tons of work to do 20*60 mental math style. public schools have failed you.
