Depends, really. If I found it in a wallet with some means of ID, I'd turn it in to the police. But if it turned up like the figurative pot of gold with no way of telling whose it was, well - that's another matter altogether. Let's say it was 100% impossible to return it, I'd probably try to extract maximum value from it, preferably by going to http://www.dubli.com to blow a bit (they really do save you loads of money) and thereafter I guess I'd invest it. Sure, the economy's terrible right now, but all the more reason to make a longterm investment!
I LOVE The Simpsons! It's one of my all time favorite US TV shows. I'm really hoping that they'll do a DubLi special show soon, with Homer winning some really cool auction like the New York Spy Game (http://us.dubli.com/The-New-York-Spygame__3e_2913) and getting into all kinds of trouble. Those are my favourite episodes! The all time best episode is the one where they get a tomato farm out in the sticks, but mix it up with tobacco and ... well, you'll just have to watch it, it's really very hilarious!
I have a good German one! In English, it translates t:
"I have 3 kilograms of potatos in my bedroom. Would you like to come and make fries with me?". It causes general hilarity everytime I've used it. And the ladies love a man who can make them laugh. It's all in the delivery!
