PS3 Model: CECHG
Hello,
Lately I've been experiencing extremely strange problems with my playstation 3. Before anyone asks, I don't know if my playstation 3 is still under warranty. I either purchased my PS3 Spring 2008 or 2009. Please help me by taking your time in reading my problem, all help will be greatly appreciated!
My problem first occurred while playing modern warfare 2. All was normal when I instantly noticed that the background music disappeared. I could still hear footstep, but the normal BG music was gone. After the match was over, and it showed the scores, my game froze and I had to forcefully restart the PS3 by holding the power button. After restarting it I once again, loaded up MW2. Weirdly, the game crashed again but this time at the main menu. Thinking that I may have overheated the PS3 (Although I didn't really play that much that night and gave it many breaks). The next Morning, I once again turned on my PS3. This time, nothing went wrong, until about 30-40 minutes into the game. The same thing happened again; the background music stopped, and when it showed scores, my game froze. Thinking the error might've been MW2 I quickly held the power button. Strangely the PS3 would not turn off. In effort to save the disc, I pressed the eject button, and both the blue and green lights were flashing simultaneously which I've never seen before. The PS3 turned off. This time I decided to try put NBA 2k10 into my Ps3. After waiting a few seconds I received an error (8001050F). I then restarted the Ps3 and tried again. After restarting my PS3 did not recognize the game inside as it did not show the game disc icon in the menu. After re-entering the CD I received the error again. I then tried the Modern Warfare 2 CD again and it also failed to recognize the CD, until I re-entered it several times. This time, instead of loading and crashing, I received a different error message (80010514). Since I have no idea what to do I eject the game, and realize that now, the game is taking about 20-40 seconds to eject instead of the usual instant eject. I have no idea how to solve this problem and is why I;m asking the forum.
I explained my problem as detailed as I could've possibly done. Once again, any help would be greatly appreciated!
P.S.I looked into I and many others have been experiencing problems with the PS3 lense, but no other has had experiences equal to mine.
