Regarding PC gaming - if I could walk into a store, plop down 400 - 500 dollars on a computer and be GUARANTEED 5 - 10 years of playing any game on the market without having to deal with the headache and extra cost of upgrading it - Then, and only then, would I be interested in PC gaming. Until then I'll be sticking with consoles.
Because most consumers share this idea with me of simple convenience, PCs will never have that mass market appeal ( for gaming ) in their current state. If that changes I would certainly welcome it, as I'm not refusing to PC game out of malice or blind fanboy loyalty.
I'm already hopelessly addicted to World of Warcraft and have been for several years now, I don't think starting another Blizzard-made electronic smack addiction is wise at this point.
