In not a fan of DLC... there I said it... I'm biased. I've purchased VERY little DLC over the past few years. I bought the shivering isles expansion, a dozen or so Rockband songs, and a few Halo map packs (for my wife) but that is it. Until recently I didn't REALLY have a problem with DLC. Most of it just wasn't worth purchasing. However, I'm growing increasing worried that game content is being intentially left out in order to nickle and dime customers. I first noticed this with Dragon age for the PC. The game LAUNCHED with downloadable expansions. This should NEVER happen. ALL of that content should have been included with the original game as it was obviously developed prior to the game being released.
Other questionable content has come down in great games like Bioshock 2, Assassins Creed 2, and other high profile games. I'm specifically speaking of the timing of the DLC. While it was not released at launch, it was released very shortly after. I can understand this to some extent. The content of the aformentioned DLC is fair at best. Perhaps they were cut from the original game and released later for hardcore fans.
