Proven, sure...worth a top 10 pick? No.
What are the chances you're going to get someone better at LB in the top 10 better hten Lance Briggs? It's tough to know and it's a chance. Drafts are always chances. Ryan Leaf? That Weike heisman trophy dude? Rob Dayne? It's a lottery for a reason and that's because it's all about luck. Getting Lance Brigg is getting something proven. You know what you're going to get. But with a draft pick you don't know. It can either be better or worse. But I don't think it'll work out "okay".
Upside, potential, youth, etc. That's what you get with the 6th overall pick. Sure they will be busts...but you can say the same thing about Briggs. What do I mean? It's simple. He can be the success of the other players around him. Urlacher, Harris, Vasher, Brown, etc. Take Alvin Harper for example. Guy was a great receiver at Dallas..because he had Irvin making him look good along with all the other HOF players (smith, aikman, etc.). Tampa traded a 1st rounder to Dallas for him...huge bust in Tampa. You could say the same about Peerless Price, Eric Moulds made him look good. Traded to Atlanta for a 1st rounder.....bust. Trading a top 10 pick for a "good" player inst a smart thing especially one with an attitude....he aint no superstar. You think the Raiders regret trading Harris and the 7th overall pick for Moss? You just don't trade away your top 10 pick, unless your getting a great superstar with great charisma. Not to mention the skins don't have another pick until the 5th round! Might as well not show up on Draft day if your giving away your top 10 pick.
Makes perfect sense. I'll have to agree.
I agree i also agree with that I agree with all of the above.I think Ricky can sttill be a top backup running back who can rush for 400-600 yardsthetombradyhateI agree with you. He could have a Duce McAllister type season if he and Ronnie Brown Split carries.
Ever notice that crap isn't in R movies? Because many adults DON'T WANT IT. They played it as a kid and for the most part don't want to do it all over again.
Opponents would say "It's immature to dislike a game because it looks cartoony or family friendly."
Is there something wrong with having personal preference? I'm almost 22. I like violence, porn, beer, and NOT jolly little cartoon characters. If I did, I would be watching Disney movies all the time. But I don't. 300 is one of the best movies ever, along with The Ring and Pulp Fiction. I'm an adult and have my own preferences.
Simply having blood and gore in a game doesn't automatically make it good. It's only if it's in the right context for the right audience that it can enhance the experience of the game.
I bet I'll be flamed. But remember this: Resident Evil 4 was one of the greatest selling Gamecube titles. Adult gamers exist with adult preferences. Nintendo supporters need to realise that.
edited for clarification
I agree with you. Although 300 is good I don't think it is one of the best movies ever.
