Well, that was a nice waste of money.

I went out and bought Mario Baseball a few days ago and I need a stylus too so I picked one up. I got 2 metal styli and screen protectors for 5 bucks, which was a pretty good deal even though I didn't need screen protector. Now, today I realized I put my 2 styli and screen protector in a K-Mart bag instead of the GameStop bag, so I threw it away by mistake. Waste of my 5 bucks...

It's Just Easier to Hate

Some people are just too hard to stand. At my school, there's basically 2 groups of people. I guess I would fit into the "nonconformists" and everyone else are "conformists." Sometimes I wonder if these people are friends because they have a fear of being left out. How else would they be able to stand each others company for more than a minute? One person in particular, lets call him Ronnie Kessler... er I mean Steve Stevenson, he's the most annoying kid in school, yet he's one of the most popular. Kids like him are either loved or hated. All the "conformists" love him, but no one else likes him. That's why I stay away from the "popular" guys. I mean, its so sad when the funny, smart, nice people that believe in being themselves are the minority in this world.

I Just Can't Wait!

Man, Metroid Prime: Hunters is gonna be a great game. I thought it was supposed to come out in November, now I know I'm gonna have to wait until '06! Lately, me and a couple of friends have been playing this multiplayer and the fun never seems to end. If the demo is this great, just imagine the real thing!

Emo, it's like diet Pepsi

Tony Hawk games have a reputation for great punk soundtracks (or at least, some of the songs are great) and American Sk8land will be no exception. T.S.O.L, the Descendents, Minor Threat, all the classics. But what is this? None of these bands will be on the game. Instead, a bunch of today's bands (mostly emo/pop-punk) will cover those songs. I mean, Thrice and Minor Threat are just too different. I'll probably end up getting this game, but I'd rather listen to one of my old Buzzcocks album then this soundtrack. Fallout Boy, Thrice, and taking Back Sunday, as popular as they are today, will never live up to the legacy that is Minor Threat. In their short time together they have made a much bigger impression on the punk scene that these band will ever make. I mean, take a look at this list:

•Taking Back Sunday - The Descendents' "Suburban Home"/"I Like Food"
•Senses Fail - Suicidal Tendencies' "Institutionalized"
•Alkaline Trio - TSOL's "Wash Away"/"Beneath the Shadows"
•Emanuel - The Stooges' "Search and Destroy"
•Fall Out Boy - The Gorilla Biscuits' "Start Today"
•Thursday - The Buzzcocks' "Ever Fallen in Love?"
•From Autumn to Ashes - Fear's "Let's Have a War"
•Hot Snakes - Government Issue's "Time to Escape"
•Thrice - Minor Threat's "Seeing Red"/"Screaming at a Wall"
•Saves the Day - The Dead Boys' "Sonic Reducer"
•My Chemical Romance - The Misfits' "Astro Zombies"
•Rise Against - Black Flag's "Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie"/"Fix Me"
•Dropkick Murphys - The Adolescents' "Who Is Who"
•The Bled - Bad Brains' "House of Suffering"

With the exception of Dropkick Murphys and the Bled (because I've never heard of the Bled) these are all bands that I would never listen to, yet I'm a fan of all the old bands that are being covered. I think they could have made a better choice here.

When did it become

Green Day. I can't stand 'em. Back in the '90s they were one of my favorite bands. They always had fresh material, they had energy, and incredible lyrics. I grew up listening to Green Day and they set me on the path to become the great musician I am today. As of 2004, Green Day has become a ridiculous, shell of a band. American Idiot is one of worst songs I've ever heard and I can't understand how their new album has become so successful. Listen to this: At school, you can't walk down the halls without seeing a Green Day fan. That's pretty sad considering the fact that most people at my school listen to Brittney Spears or 50 Cent. I saw a guy sitting on the curb outside of school with G-Unit shoes, pants down to his knees, and a Ja-Rule shirt. Now, what was blaring on his CD player? Boulevard of Broken Dreams. It makes me sick. I bet Green Day doesn't even care anymore, as long as they walk away with a huge pile of money. I can still remember when they were all about the music...
