I think the problem is not about Wii and his titles, is about you and your requirements. Monster Hunter Tri is a game where you can spend more than 100 hours... And the best Wii titles aren't shipped yet: Zelda Skyward sword, The Last Story, Xenoblade... Wii is not dead!
Right now the 3DS line up is poor. I think it's just a matter of time, Nintendo never left behind any of their systems, so don't worry and save money to get it.
