I don't have any stats to discredit your claim about online/offline gamers, but I really doubt its true. I'm sure there are still a large fraction of xbox gamers who would like to play split screen with a younger sibling, son/daughter, a friend over the house or whatever. I didn't buy it with the priority of playing split screen, but I was with a friend when I got it, immediately went over his house to play co op and found out you can't. Then we had to just take turns per level. Obviously that was lame. I also know someone who was dying for this game for months, preordered it, got it day one and doesn't even have xbox live and also was left dissapointed when he could play it with his wife.

I think the reason why we don't hear much from gamers who are dissapointed with no split screen that don't have xbox live is that they simply just aren't the kind of person that would come online to a forum like this to complain about it.

Zynga shouldn't even be in the same league as the rest of the developers. Yes technically they make video games but they aren't REAL video games. You wouldn't put a toyota corolla in the same contest as a lamborghini gallardo. yea some people like the fuel effieciency and cheapness of the corolla but no way is a better car than the gallardo. Those are two different leagues.

MW2 multiplayer is pathetic. The killstreak rewards is what turned me off of MW2. I played it on 360 though. But man, constantly getting hit by predator missles, air strikes, helicopters, the helicopters that other PLAYERS control, with a gun that never overheats or runs out of ammo? lol..so frustrating. The gunplay is as stale as a box of ceral left open for a week. The same crap from like 10 years ago, point shoot and the bullets all go in the same place. Not fun at all and way to easy. The only strategies in the game are rush left, rush right, rush mid then camp. Or rush then run alll the way back to spawn when you're the last one left and camp. Objective games aren't even objectives, they're just team deathmatch with flags and cases laying around to block your view. Nobody cares about objectives so you might as well just play tdm so you don't have annoying icons blocking your view. Oh yea did i mention getting hit by predator missles that only take 3 seconds to pull out and shoot? I think I did, but just wanted to reemphasize how incredibly annoying it is to get killed by a person that has a rocket in their pocket on call.

And just the overall mentality of the game its like for idiots and children. I had to think more about what I was doing in halo 3 than I did in MW2. Theres no need to think or plan or anything, just rush and shoot at stuff, even if theres no one there because your 9mm handgun bullet will shoot through brick walls anyway. I forgot to ask who likes grenade launchers? Nobody? Surprising cause the first sound I hear every round in MW2 is the dooonk sound from a tube shooting into spawn, or some doorway cause theres only 3 ways to go every map and everybody knows you're going to be there in exactly 12 seconds.

Yea that was pretty much just a bunch of complaining but, those are all the thoughts that came to mind when I asked myself if the game is good. So the answer is no, its bad if you have a brain. If you like mindless explosions/shooting and like watching yourself die from an air asset twice every 40 seconds then this game is for you.

Far cry 100%. The gunbattles in that game were fun and you actually got to use more than one gun. The only gun of any use in crysis is that ak type of gun, cause its pretty much the only gun you get ammo for. The mini-gun sucks, the handgun is lame, and you always pick up two when you try to get more ammo which really makes them suck. The sniper rifle is useless most of the time unlike in far cry the sniper was devastating. When you shot people in far cry you actually feel as though you shot someone, in Crysis the enemies feel like paper cutouts. The only suit power thats worth using is armor and that shouldn't even be considered a power, its just body armor that you can take on and off at will. Yea real clever. Even though Crysis is a huge game the entire time I still felt like I was being guided along a straight path. The aliens were incredibly lame, to me far more lame than the trigens in far cry which i actually thought were pretty cool at the time. All the items in crysis that you can pick up with your strength powers are useless. How many of you have actually killed more than one person by throwing something at them? Yet theres so much junk around to throw you never get to use it. Ever. Oh yea the alien ice gun blows too, also practically useless compared to...guess...yea that korean AK. The only gun of any use. Only thing Crysis has going for it is its looks, which are unquestionably astonishing even today. But the gameplay blows.

That should be perfectly fine. Wish I had a 5870, I plan on getting two of them in a few months. The case has a good bit of room and even if you did change your mind and do a little overclocking it would probably still be okay. Only thing you may want to consider is getting a new fan and heatsink for your CPU. Usually the stock cooling isn't too good when you're running games on max with a high end GPU like the 5870. But that stuff is real cheap only like 30 dollars. Keep in mind though that the issues that come with cooling are usually when your computer is running too hott for too long. Unless you're doing something crazy nothing is ever gonna be destroyed in just a few days from running hot, but high temps for a year or so can trash a vid card or a processor pretty easily.

Maybe a mix up with dvi-i and dvi-d cables? Sometimes you can kinda squeeze one of the two types into the wrong socket and not notice. Did you make sure you plugged it in in the first place? lol.

Thats totally dependent on what you're buying. But more than likely as long as your case isn't cramped up like a sardine case, and you have at least two case fans you should be fine. If you're going SLI or Crossfire now or in the future you're gonna need more/bigger fans and probably a water cooled system (a small cheap one depending on the cards) would help. But once again at stock speeds maybe not, but still depends on the card. Some run a lot hotter than others.

Even though you must have heard this a lot since you claimed you don't wanna hear it like five times but...if you're looking to run crysis max, 1280x720 is pretty weak...and if you are willing to go down to a measly 1024x768 then dude whats the point lol. And you mention you can power through the game at 800x600 with max settings...well yea, even my lousy 8800GTS can do that. People played at resolutions like that back when Half life was released...in 1998..

Make sure you kill them when you find them. just to teach them a lesson about not dissapearing like that. Just make sure you make a save before you punish them.

I'd say ghost recon is more like delta force and rainbow six is more like SEALS. Although rainbow six doesn't really fit any one group because they comprise of military personnel from several different countries throughout the world. And of couse seals is American only, like delta, green berets and whatever other spec forces or ops groups are in the USA.

Green Berets are a much larger group than the ghost recon guys seem to be. But at the same time ghosts are army only I think and delta actually recruits spec ops members from all branches of the us military. But they mainly recruit green berets and sometimes seals. There arent' many air force pjs and CC to really apply for it i suppose. Plus their jobs are a lil different from seals and green berets anyway.
