Yep, just plug it in and turn it on. If it's the only AV input it should go straight to it without needing anything else.

[QUOTE="Skull-Fire"]That's not a mistake... Even if it was, it wouldnt matter at all and a spelling mistake is certainly not interesting.entereddanny
Well I, for one, think that a spelling mistake in a video game is very interesting, ESPECIALLY in a military-based game.

Not sure why it's that interesting, even if it is in a military-based game. Are they supposed to be more accurate or something? Fairly sure that no military types would have been involved in the proofreading.

Pretty much anything from 2012 would be fun.

I'm currently on my 4th pair of Sennheisers - have got some of the noise cancelling earbuds and a sport pair (which don't mind sweat) at present, and have had some PC-350s for (PC) gaming in the past. They're relatively pricey, but excellent quality and build for the price - you can't really go wrong with the brand.

For me it's not necessarily the range but the spread. In MW2 the spread seems enormous - if you get slotted with one shot, and it's full on to the torso or head then fair enough, but quite often you seem to get taken out with a shot that should have only winged you (although it's better than it was with the rebalancing).

dont bother trying to compare where the consoles are to where the PC is....that kind of thinking is what caused half the problems in the first place this gen. consoles should not aim to be PCs....its pointless and counter productive. consoles should eb all about maximising the bang per buck in the areas that count for games.osan0

Well said - hits the nail on the head.

I know a bit about this issue, having come over from PC gaming within the last year. I did have a set of very good gaming headphones (Sennheiser PC-350s) that I wanted to use on the X-box. I ended up with various adapters and splitters to get it up and running, but while the sound was excellent the voice quality wasn't amazing, which wasn't really what I wanted from a top end set of gaming cans, especially as I was getting tangled up all the time with wires. I ended up selling them to raise some funds, tried the cheap MW2 throat mike for a while (sound was finebut myvoice was muffled)and then I ended up with a set of Turtlebeach X-31s which are the best solution so far. The voice quality isn't crystal, but is much better than the throat mike and the same as the Sennheisers with adaptors, plus they're wireless. I'm considering trading up to a set of X-41s, but will put this in another thread.

To summarise, I think that the X-box is the primaryfactor - thevoice quality between a top end set of PC gaming headphones and a medium range X-Box specific set is the same.

No flash at work, so can't see the website but I'm really looking forward to this one. I've almost finished Assassins Creed 2 - just need to go back for some more feathers...

One thing I don't have is patients. I don't like camping and always run around and looking for my enemies. When I do this I always get killed. Also when I camp anda guy spot me and I spot him he alawys kills me first in a shootout. Any tips on this?

Also how do I improve aiming with a scope? I see snipers on my deathcam with just 1 shot kills and when I try to snipe I usually miss my target with 4-5 shots and he gets away or spots me and kill me? Any tips on this?

Last but not least how do I avoid being shot?

I'm not convinced that wearing a headset works, unless you're playing on party chat with mates. Most of the time all you hear on chat is nonsense, and MW2 isn't known for it's team play. A few pointers that have worked for me:

  • Follow higher ranked players, see where they go and what they do
  • Spend some time getting to know the maps. Practice getting to the hard to get to spots in an empty map
  • Make sure your loadout works for you. Personally, I rate the ACR with stopping power as a good all rounder
  • Accept that you may not be a sniper. I'm not - tried it but it's doesn't work for me
  • Spend a bit of time watching kill cams - and learn from them!
  • Gun, run and reload in cover. Literally, fire and manouvre, fire and manouvre
  • Adapt to the environment with different classes - if you're getting hammered with air, have an anti air class ready to switch to on respawn (stinger, hard line)
  • Use claymores - they rock!

[QUOTE="Qixote"]

It probably would have been a much more awesome game had they stuck to the original development of the once pc exclusive. That was over 6 years ago. But somewhere along the line they lost focus with what they set out to do and the game nearly became vaporware. Until years later when they decided to pull its aging scraps together and make it a console game instead. What they had apparently was not good enough for pc gamers, but it was marvelous for console gamers.

Hate to break it to ya, but you're kind of an elitist douchebag.

That makes no sense. They're different platforms with different advantages and disadvantages. I'm getting AW anyway. 8.5 is good enough for me, and the 'lack of surprising moments' comment is subjective enough to ignore.
