The Darkest Nights...and Treasure Hunting.

I got Dark souls on its original release date (7th October in the UK), and I haven't stopped playing it since. I haven't even played through to the end on even one of my characters, but I'm having far too much fun to care. I must have poured over a hundred hours into this game easily, and over nearly six different characters. There's just so much to discover, so many different ways to play, and I'm sure that there's plenty I'm still yet to see.

And I also got Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception at the start of November as well. Not the longest single player experience ever, but I still loved every second of it. Naughty Dog's done a hell of a job in creating utterly believable characters within a game that's as close as to playing an actual Hollywood action film that you'll get. It's more understated than number 2, surely (less massive action set-pieces, for one), but still really fun to play. And the multiplayer has built on the foundations from Uncharted 2 to deliver a much more complete package- the co-op games have to be one of the best match modes in there.

And there's more to come from the Dawgs in the future- the reveal for 'The Last of Us' shows that they're are developing, and it looks to be quite different from their past efforts- an infection/zombie type game set in a post-apocalyptic world that's been overrun by some kind of nasty disease- perhaps some kind of lethal fungus, as suggested in the game's website viral links. No release date as of yet, but that's for sure on my wishlist when it comes out.

Anyways, I'm done for today again. Stick around if you like.
