i had the same problem and thought the multiplayer was completely broken, but i was able to fix it by investing in a good router. i had a d-link di-524. it's on the compatibility list for routers on xbox.com, but i've always had problems trying to had private chats with friends. i had all the ports opened for an open NAT, but still had the same issues. so i broke down and bought a d-link dir-655 and everything now works fine. i suggest you buy a new router if you can afford too
either go into your profile and change the controller settings, or hold left trigger and X for slap shot, as you probably don't have the controls on the default. (prob advanced scheme)
Okay, I've been playing hockey games for a long time now... I haven't even tried EA's new gamestick feature... my buddy says i'll never want to play 2k7 again after I play NHL 07. Anyone else tried it? I like the idea of shoot and pass buttons... and checking buttons... plus i'm used to it.CortezThePirate
i rented it on the weekend, and i'd say it's ok. the new controls are nice, but overall, the game still needs a lot of work done to it. it just feels rough to me, but the goalies are friggen sweet. the same can be said for 2k7 as it needs a lot of improvements as well, but overall, both games are good. that said, 2k7 gets the thumbs up from me for this season
grand soul gems can also be found in caves and forts around the witch's house. it takes some time to get them all, but it's the cheapest method if you don't have much gold yet. the caves and forts i searched were mostly east of the witch's house. make sure you got some lockpicks because you are going to need them. good luck
