Accurcacy is more important in CSS

Awarenes and being able to spot your oppoents in the distance before they spot you in more important in COD4

This is mainly because the guns are much harder to aim in CSS and you die quicker in COD4 (Hardcore Mode)

$300 for a graphics card? I can pay $250 for a game console.GhettoTaxii

Have fun with your Wii. Not to bash the Wii or anything, its a fun console but has hardly any depth. Maybe that'll change with time anyways. Plus you gotta buy controllers, another hidden cost to consoles, then for the 360 you got that headset and all those accessories...and Live and the higher game prices.

[QUOTE="MIYAMOTOnext007"]If you want a real KILLER pc it will cost around 1500. But if you have ANY kinda job that is still easily afordable.Hangman550

Must be nice not to have to support a family as well

I know a bus driver who just got maried that has a nice gaming PC, slightly outdated now, 7600GT but last I heard of it was sometime last year so he probaly updated it by now. Basicly if you like somethin you will find the money to pay for it.

Of course... I like my house and I find ways to pay the mortgage :P

Anyways ... Here's the real answer to all: Alles ist Relativ!

He got lucky when he was paying for a 6600GT, the guy on ebay accidenly sent him the money back so he basicly got it for free. :-p. That probaly helped XD

Oh I recently got myself a new System, totals $1200 but the case did cost $200 bucks which is kind of overkill but it looks so cool with its Mirror Finish that I couldn't resist. Its also a Quad Core which really isn't needed for games but I use it for Video Rendering.

I use my computer for alot more things then just games. I mean if I have to have a powerful PC to begin with for Video Editing, 3d Modeling, Digital Painting, Simulations and whatever then why not equip a more powerful video card and play games with it as well.

If you plan JUST to use your computer for gaming then you'll probaly spend less money by usin consoles but even then its an iffy argument.

Decent PC for everyday usage = $500 -Pretty much required

Console = $400

Xbox Live = $50 a Year

Games = $10 more

1 Year with 10 Games = $1550

Great Gaming PC = $1000 (Probaly a little more depending on what you want)

1 Year with 10 Games = $1500

Not to mention with the gaming PC you have better graphics , greater versitility in controls (Use whatever you want, controller or keyboard) , just as good games (Debatable) and mods for extended gameplay

The only real cons is upgrading which happens maybe every year or two. Sell off your old video card and buy a new one for maybe $100 extra. The only other con is maintainence and what to do when your computer breaks down which can be a pain in the ass.

Fact of the matter is, if your main goal is gaming a Console might be better but if you want to use your pc extensively in any other way then you might want to invest in a gaming PC. Seriously, Firefox is so much faster with Quad Core and 2 Gigs of RAM, now I can actually run 30 or so tabs with no slowdowns while watching a movie and paying games ;).

Oh and lets not forget HDTV costs

Come on... who doesn't own a pirated copy of Windows here? Almost everryones don't own a reatil copy, as for DVD and Hard drive, you can get both for less than 100$.

moded in, 5, 4, 3....

It's funny, almost everyone knows someone they can "get" a copy of windows from. People don't factor in that buying Windows costs money because its so easy to get ahold of. Someone always has a copy lying around to lend. Of course with Vista its going to be alot more difficult with WGA and all that
