I was re-reading one of my blog posts and saw something about how Great BF2 was (at the time of the OG writing). I had to chuckle as I have uninsulated BF2. I did this right as the first XP came out. They patched the core game at the same time and in doing so they ruined the graphics and allowed XP weapons into OG BF2 maps. I was furious the first time I got flash-banged and then head shot with a pistol. I had not gotten the XP. I should not be seeing these things. You don't see flying wings in BF42. Just in the expansion for Secret Weapons of WWII. Why, oh why, did EA not do this title the same way as they did for BF42? Now I couldn't re-install it if I wanted 'cause I seem to have lost the CD key to install. The same goes for my copy of MOH: PA which I am quite perturbed about as I was jonesin to play PA MP. I miss that. Just like I could no longer get my other MOH titles to play after upgrading my GC. I give props to consoles for not needing to upgrade hardware. Out.

Coolies. The XP for SWAT4 is out tomorrow in the States!!!

OK...I know it has been a while but hey.

Anyway, I DLed the demo for F.E.A.R. and I found my rig is not quite there. I am hoping that when the game is gold, it will be better than the demo and thus will be playable. I want this GAME!

Well as if you couldn't already tell by my Currently PLaying Games list, I have received my copy of Area 51. I have played a few lvls and I am impressed. I don't care what GameSpot says or anybody else for that matter. I actually am torn between Area 51 and Half-Life2.

I wrote an e-mail to a friend and started ranting about my entrance into the mighty world of the PC Gamer. I thought it was cool and a little on the humorus side .oO(I think anyway).

"I am 99% sure I am seeing Ep. III with me dad. If the weather is fair to f_Ç<ing gorgeous for either weekend day and my neighbor is in town, he and I are gonna see about getting that hot li'l R/C car o' mine to run, consistently, without being connected to the glow plug igniter.

Are you into PC or Console gaming? FPSs (First Person Shooter if you were curious; you know me and acronyms)) per chance? I ask because the means to establishing credit to get to pay off a mortgage involved the purchase of a brand spanking new Dell Dimension 8250 with a 2.8G P4, 512 RAM, SoundBlaster Live sound card, and an ATI ALL-in-Wonder 9200 Graphics card, I now possessed the power to take a look at these new fan dangled PC gaming titles. I am sure you saw it when you (the one time) came to my townhouse. Came to my TOWNHOUSE. Any way I went to good ol' E B Games in the MALL O' Georgia and found and interesting enough sounding FPS title that takes place during WWII and you get to fight the 'Jerries'! Plus it has on-line multiplayer for up to 60 + players so you are not always having to fight the games AI (computer controlled enemies) which I found to be lacking in the least. Any way that moment sparked my new zeal for PC gaming. FPSs mainly of course. Though I do sport a few titles of the many alternate genres. One thing I do try to keep consistent is the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) rating of at least Teen, but I prefer games who have been given the Mature rating."

Well I am 30% through the 728MB download. I hope the demo is close to Gold cause if the demo lacks, the game is ignored. The only game that has differed is SWAT4. I remember playing the demo a long time back with a level similar to the current first career level but I was unimpressed. Then GameSpot offered the NEW demo that, unlike the older demo, timed out after an hour of game play and suggested purchasing the full game on-line. When my hour was up, I charged my Visa. I have no regrets. The demo letsyou play the first few Gold levels (depending on how quick you are) and though I remembered a similar level to the restaurant but this was decidedly different, better.

Well that little detour passed another 20% complete :o)

AREA 51 is coming real soon to the PC and it looks like this will be as cool if not cooler than F.E.A.R.

GAWD I cannot wait for these titles.

August 1st is too damned far away! I cannot wait until this game hits the streets.
