[QUOTE="nuge004"]What if it's just a trailer playing on the tv? You should probably show the disc and/or cover if you actually had it....fiercedeity901agreed...that's why i just want a pic of the game disc saying that i got owned seriously...is that too much to ask for? u can get gameplay vids from anywhere...that could be a full screen video from youtube or something
I seriously think it is a trailer he downloaded off of live.
[QUOTE="shoeonhead82"]I got the game about two days ago after my Gamestop accidently sold me a copy ( love the old lady who runs the shop :P ). Anyways... after playing the different game types I have come to the conclusion that this game will likely get an 8.5. Anything more then this, would be undeserved, because quite frankly... it feels like an expansion pack. In fact, the only reason I think it will get an 8.5 is because of the name.
Single Player - The single player is better. Both in terms of graphics and variety.
Co-op - No substantial improvements. Except, it's annoying that when I host a co-op game, I can't "wait" until someone joins... instead the act/level starts without someone connecting. At least give us the option :/
Multiplayer - The same as Gears 1... in pretty much every aspect. Really. I kid you not. Aside from... 2 new guns? (flame thrower and the new default gun)... there really isn't anything new here. It's more of the same.
Horde - This is a neat mode. It's my favorite mode, but something that won't have lasting appeal.
This game indeed... may very well flop.
That said. I admit that I am a hermit, but I also love playing my 360. I by no means wanted to see this game turn out the way it has. Yes, it's a good game. You will enjoy it. However, if you are looking for more then an expansion-pack feel, much like myself, you may be disappointed.
Feel free to ask w/e questions you wish.
PS3_3DO
And you played the MP already? :|
If Gears 2 can only get a 8.5 then Resistance 2 is going to get a 8. :|
Can people stop comparing R2 with Gears 2 and assuming Gears2 is automatically better than R2....
If Gears 2 is an 8.5, then Killzone 2 is going to get a 9.5, see what I did there :)
*******PS3 FALL******
LBP- 9.0
R2
Motorstorm ( 8.3 on ign)
Valkyria Chronicles ( People aksed me to put it so here it is.)
Thats it PERIOD
*******360 FALL*********
Gears 2
Fable 2-8.5
L4D
Banjo 3
GTA DLC- I understand its DLC but its DLC of a 10.0 game...
Last Remnant
*WORTH MENTIONING*
Fallout 3 one of the BIGGEST games this fall is MUCH BETTER on 360 for 2 reasons.
Reason 1. EXCLUSIVE DLC coming ONLY to 360.
Reason 2. Fallout 3 RUNS AND PLAYS better on 360.
Looks to me like 360 has this in a wrap.
No one really cares about DLC for GTA4 anymore and that will probably be the same with Fallout 3. Left 4 Dead graphically disapointing and Last Remnant is on the PS3 too, I thinhk you mean Star Ocean 4
[QUOTE="MyopicCanadian"][QUOTE="WillieBeamish"]I just called my 6th Gamestop/EBGames in my area (Ottawa) and EVERY SINGLE ONE has told me that they sold out of Fable II on launch day.
Ok, this seems a little suspicious to me. I got the whole "you better pre-order whatever you want between now and Christmas because otherwise you aren't going to get it" line. I just don't believe this.
I think that these shops are intentionally only purchasing pre-orders to punish walk-ins for not giving them $5 up front.
Game discs aren't a limited resource. Companies can pump out as many as they want. It makes no sense that every EBGames manager in a 10 mile radius of me is so inept as to forecast game sales, and as such make a legitimate decision as to how many copies to order.
Anyone else agree that these specialty retailers are screwing people over?

Yes, they specifically buy only enough copies for pre-orders, with some extra copies. But Gamestop and EB are terrible. Just go to Best Buy or Future Shop on launch day for any major game and they'll have a shelf full of copies :) I stopped going to EB after they kept trying to push pre-orders down my throat. That, and Future Shop is so conveniently on the way home from work!
We had extra copies, but we had to pretend they never existed until a week or so after launch-day. Really pained me to disappoint some little kid by telling him we were out of Super Mario Galaxy, when I had about six copies in the back.
There's a reason we tried to cram pre-orders down your throat. We had a quata to meet, and if we didn't meet that quota...bad things happened.
Breaking little children's hearts across America:(
