Go to the main page and count how many articles have either Microsoft, or Titanfall in them, then tell me gamespot isn't biased lol. Its nearly 80% What if the game isn't as good as they HYPE it up to be? Now tell me Gamespot doesn't get paid to give certain games better reviews.
@dannyodwyer @nuke1984 Ok Ill go on topic about his attitude then. What kind of humor does Joel McHale perform on television? Use the SOUP as an example. He is known as a snarky jab taker at pretty much everything pop culture. Would you have preferred him to just read off of a script so he doesn't offend people's fragile sensibilities?
I understand your side of it Danny, and ill semi agree with you on one point, and that is that SPIKE dropped the ball by casting McHale as a host. Imagine if they casted Andrew Dice Clay, and didn't let him say any dirty limericks. McHale was just doing what made him famous.
Yeah my parents must not of raised to think everything is a conspiracy and illuminati........
Yes she offered the opinion that women weren't represented and also removed a rating point based solely on that facet. Do I care about the point? No, but its Gamespot's mentality that bothers me.
Then you proceeded to give your little elitist rant about my parents and me, without knowing my parents nor myself.
How was she standing up for the under represented? The game is based on crime and cultural satire.
She took away a point or whatever for a game where you murder, do drugs, and constantly break the law but didn't represent women enough? That's like saying "I'm going to remove a point from Mario because it doesn't represent Germans enough". Was Mario meant to represent Germans? No. Was it the developers intent to represent them? No.
This is a tad off topic, but wasn't Gamespot preaching about everyone having different opinions and we should respect them after the review of say GTA V came out? Next they bash some comedian for more or less giving his opinion? I'm lost as to what Gamespot wants anymore.
Danny said that McHale didn't do or say what video gamers wanted him to and proceeded to take shots back at McHale, but when video game fans did the same thing to Carolyn Petit, Gamespot went out of their way to defend HER opinion. I see many double standards with this website anymore.
I was simply saying the creation of a video game could be considered art because of the meticulous hours put into graphic design and such but playing a video game is no more of an art form as sitting in front of the tv. If the world thinks sitting in front of the tv pushing buttons is art, its no wonder things are going downhill culturally.
Once again instead of ignoring someone, you say **** off. That's my point. Our new culture of instant gratification and the I want it now mentality is what is making people like McHale pick on gamers.
Re-read what you said in your post, and do some critical thinking as to why people don't take video gaming seriously. You went out of your way to post harsh language and insults to complete strangers. You are the reason people make fun of gamers because you take it so seriously, at least seriously enough to post an entire paragraph of insult and garbage language about something as trivial as a VIDEO GAME.
@zzanzabar I agree with you as well zzan. I believe the creation of a video game is art, well, it used to be until developers copied and pasted a new game every year built off the last one. Playing video games is not an art form at all its a time waster. People's standards have dropped so far in the last decade if they consider videogames (A CHILDS PLAYTHING) an art form, sport, or even a profession.
