knowing the reviewer which is why this site sucks as it now has a bunch of faceless reviewers most of whom have the writing skills of a ten year old.

with petit and mc shae you knew what you where getting even if i rarely agreed with them.

It's like anything else when it comes to biology - it depends on the person. You can find articles on the net about it and they'll talk about tests with fighter pilots discerning single frames at a rate of over 200fps. And just like everything else with biology, the current average with respect to what the average person can discern would likely increase over time as people got used to viewing higher fps. We're not robots. Our bodies improve. There's no reason to not continually push the envelope except with consideration to what the current market will bear.

As far as consoles, last gen technology was limited because you still had so many people that had yet to make the change to HD when they launched...60fps would be lost on that market, just like 120 would be lost on the current market. No point making your consoles more expensive catering to a standard only a select audience would enjoy.

60 fps would never have been lost on the market tvs have ran at 50 or 60 hz pretty much since there inception the move to 120hz lcd monitorz of late is just getting back on par with what crt was doing 20 years ago

i agree with original posters premise gta has many boring elements what the game excels at is creating an interesting world o'dwyer nailed it when digging into watchdogs it is an adventure or discovery game like skyrim or fallout it is like real life walking down the street is boring as **** but interesting things can happen i also like far cry 3 that has far better mechanics than gta but it is far more limited in terms of world discovery which is why i didnt play it half as long i didnt play past vaas

shows what people find acceptable at that fps for no stutter you must have vsync on so you wont get stutter or frame skipping but it will cause alot of problems including steering and such due to frame rate not being locked you might not notice it but i am used to games running well above 60 i have a 144hz monitor if i turn vsync on and play watchdogs it doesn't judder but you can see and feel the fps rising and falling from around 50 bottoming out to 30 maybe i am spoilt but i cant stand any game that doesn't hit 60fps gsync might fix it but that is awhile away

history of the developer like you do with publisher. the publisher doesn't matter half as much as the developer although machinegames is not such a good example as they are new

http://www.giantbomb.com/fredrik-ljungdahl/3040-61019/credits/ your partner site does it. it needs more work but you click on machinegames it has this guy listed as a head honcho and you can see his history it doesn't have to delve into massive detail just the main guys

http://www.gamespot.com/wolfenstein-the-new-order/ these pages the same as every game page most of the videos are news stories which have little value to someone looking up a game and the developer and publisher info is hidden at the far bottom right that is of value i was requesting developer and publisher info to be expanded like a cast list on imdb looks like it has been modified a bit already it is alot better

http://www.gamespot.com/companies/machinegames/ i want information in these pages

http://www.gamespot.com/far-cry-3/ on developer info it has ubisoft montreal it is like having a collaboration between uwe boll quentin tarantino and Martin Scorsese and only putting uwe bolls name on it
