A very solid hitting/pitching interface is dragged down by poor fielding, baserunning and a bunch of bugs.
A good baseball game for the PC? I haven't seen one of these in a long, long time. While MLB 2K9 is hardly perfect, it can still be a pretty enjoyable game of baseball if you don't let it's rough edges and bugs drive you... Read Full Review

It's a fun little distraction... but not enough staying power to make it worth a purchase. Decent rental.
This is a fun game, while the novelty lasts. The control scheme isn't quite like Wii Sports Tennis, which may lead to some dissapointment, but I didn't have a problem with it. Rockstar went with a slightly more strat... Read Full Review

Lots of potential for some over-the-top arcade baseball fun, but horrible controls turn The BIGS into a rainout.
Figuring that all a developer would have to do is expand on the framework laid out by Wii Sports, baseball on the Wii should be a no-brainer. Too bad it's apparently not that easy. The BIGS isn't a terrible first step, b... Read Full Review

One of the best arcade air combat games ever!
To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of arcade air combat games, but I put in my fair share of time with the Ace Combat series during the PS2 days. HAWX is little more than a ripoff of that series, but it's beautiful to look... Read Full Review

If you are in it for the single player campaign, you'll be left wanting more.
The Call of Duty series has always been known for excellent single player campaigns with enjoyable multiplayer thrown in as almost a bonus. With Call of Duty 4, that emphasis has appeared to reverse... with the single pl... Read Full Review

Compared to 2k9 for the PC, it's two steps forward and one step back.
While MLB 2K9 for the PC was a mess, it probably took a little more slack then it deserved. The batter / pitcher interface was good and the game was well-balanced between the default difficulty and the next higher settin... Read Full Review

Fun to explore, gorgeous to look at but ultimately Assassin's Creed wears out it's welcome.
For the first few sittings or so, Assassin's Creed is a wonderful experience. You have a large and ever-expanding game world to explore. The character you play has a lot of cool abilities that are fun to use... The story... Read Full Review

If you've never played Madden on the PC, this year's installment is a great game. If you own 2007, no need to upgrade.
Gameplay: A number of little tweaks to the already solid 2007 game make their way in to this "new" version. The control seems slightly tighter and the AI appears to be sharper. While not anything major, the gam... Read Full Review

When everything is clicking, BF2 is simply incredible. Unfortunately, it does some clunking and sputtering as well.
The original Battlefield 1942 was a pretty major bug farm when it first released. Battlefield:Vietnam was an unbalanced mess that managed to bring back some bugs that had been long since ironed out of 1942. Everyone coul... Read Full Review

Despite an uninspired story and anti-climatic ending, Half Life 2 is a worthy sequel to one of the best FPS games ever.
I'm sure you are all familiar with the original title, the long delays to get this sequel produced and the much publicized bashing of the Steam service, so I won't get into any of that here. This is just going to be a st... Read Full Review

They charged this much for an expansion pack?
Single-player: For the most part it's fun, although even shorter than the SP campaign in the first Modern Warfare. Multi-player: Dumbed down, offering no advantages over console versions and many additional problems. ... Read Full Review

While the story is fun, the gameplay is often frustrating.
Ghostbusters captures the spirit of the movies very well. While I didn't find things as hilarious as some reviewers, seeing all the cutscenes, hearing all the voice work and picking out all the callbacks to the movies wa... Read Full Review

Despite a great pitcher / batter interface and deep sim features, MLB Power Pros has some glaring faults that derail it.
I know I am late to the party on this game, seeing it was released about seven months ago, but I just picked up a used copy and decided to share my thoughts. Anyways, I won't get into too much crazy specifics, as you... Read Full Review

Well worth the price of admission for fans of the original Call of Duty.
Fans of the original game, go out and buy this expansion pack! It will be the best $30 you've spent towards video games in a long time. United Offisive keeps everything that was great about the original game and adds a ... Read Full Review

It won't please the hardcore 1942 fans, but it's a unique and choatic take on the genre. (Star Wars license is a bonus)

For all you High Heat refugees, MVP isn't a bad alternative.
