honestly, i wouldn't really use this guide to overclock a pc if you've never done it before. you can really screw things up if you mess around in the bios and change a setting that you shouldn't have. sure you can just load the bios defaults, but if you put your cpu core voltage too high and try to start, you could end up destroying it. be careful if you're not sure what you're doing. i have a 64 3400+, and i've overclocked it a bit, but the performance gain was almost negligible (though i used stock heatsink fan) , so for the sake of being safe, i just run it at the default clock speed now.
