The reviewer is paid to review games. That's what he did. It's an 8 in his opinion. Bravo for sticking to your guns, even though you are probably trolling with this review. ;)
@voljin1987 @oarix Sadly, not that I know of. It has to be in their online catalog which must be purchased. I know there was talk of a trade-in program, but I am not aware of anything official coming out on that front.
I realize this is an unpopular assessment, but I actually love my Vita. The lack of a decent RPG though kills me. I know I get the entire online PSP catalog, and there are plenty of RPGs there, but I just want a next-gen Vita specific title. That's all I want and it'll be perfect.
Best thing to do is to wait for about 6 months after a game comes out and the retailers, trying to clear shelf space of these behemoth boxes, mark these Collector's Editions down to almost nothing. I have gotten absolute steals on these things - Uncharted 3, Star Wars Old Republic, Infamous 2 to name just a few.
I appreciate this article as it's something I have thought about for a decade. It's quite simple... 5 is half of 10. 5 therefore should be the absolute line between good and bad. PAR, if you will. 5 is par. Anything above 5 is a 'good' game, and 6-10 are just degrees of being 'good'. Likewise, 4-1 are the degrees of being bad. I don't understand why people can't get this. 6, just like you say in the article, is a slightly good game, isn't it? Why on earth people have a problem buying a 6 game is ludicrous. I play slightly good games all the time and coincidentally do does everyone else, in spite of them thinking any differently. So I say stick with giving proper review scores like you are and don't go the route of the other sites... that 7-10 scale is just dumb. It's a glorified "1-4 stars" scale.
