moshackirby, you're right games aren't. All i was saying is that, people make it seem that you need HDCP to play at any resolution on a monitor and you're also right that 1080p may require HDCP. I was answering sirghas647 and just wanted to thow in that at 720p on a monitor you have full access to games and Bluray movies, i have played both through my monitor.

I dont think HDCP is the problem. I have been researching this for a while and I think people just say you need HDCP because of word of mouth. What I mean is that all of these people have just read or heard this somewhere and havent tried it for themselves.

Anyway to my point, I am using a Westinghouse L1975NW 19" and it does NOT support HDCP. It works fine with my ps3, which is at 720p. I got a black screen at first too. What you have to do is reset the connection by turing the system on from standby and holding the power button until you hear a second beep. If that doesn't work you can try to connect component/compisite cables, to a regular tv, along with your HDMI to DVI, to your monitor. Then turn the system one and change the settings to output through HDMI. I hope this helped. Feel free to message me if you have any questions.

this is a little unrelated but what kind of computer monitor do you have? Does is support HDCP?
