I think iPhone/iPad are excellent gaming platforms in their own right but they are not setup for playing FPS/RPG games. These games are best played on the PC.

I have a few awesome games on my iPhone... where I can play on the move without requiring me to take a laptop.

I own 2 iPhones so yes, I have played games on the iPhone. These games are optimized to be played on the PC. You consider your iPad a complete "Computer", which it is not.
