@Hugomanen Actually, I think it is in Nintendo's interests to recapture the hardcore market. You say why bother, when they have made their new market for people who will flash the cash and play Wii Fit and Wii Sports. True, that is great for Nintendo, as they're getting sales from people who maybe would never have bought games for themselves before. But here's the thing... How many games do these people buy? Every new/casual gamer I know who has a Wii and plays games like Wii Fit has about 3 games and buys a new one maybe once a year. Hardcore gamers are often interested in following their favourite series, keeping up to date with news and reviews, and wanting the next big thing. Hardcore gamers buy more games. If you own the hardcore market, you will make more sales. I'm not knocking this new market the Wii opened up. And Nintendo will be thrilled that the Wii is in so many homes. But us hardcore gamers will continue to buy games, not just Wii Fit and then play it forever.
