In no particular order, and excluding old school games...

Fallout 1

Baldur´s Gate 2

TES 3 Morrowind

Chrono Cross

Final Fantasy 4

Deus Ex

Bioshock

Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne

Wizardry 7

System Shock 2

but perhaps the winner is....Dragon Age Origins

So there you go man, try some mods for the things you dont like, if you dont like the fighting was is i you dont like, you rather play a sneakiy bastard, try some stealth mods, you rather have a extra crispy spider, try midas magic, or if you dont like the arcade like nature of fighting istead of simulated dice rolls...then you are out of luck...try Bioshock instead, it might get you to become a believer in the FPS RPG

Comparing Dragon Age Origins (a party based, story driven old school RPG) to Skyrim (a first person sandbox game) is by far the unfairest comparison you could ever make, they are the oposite side of the RPG espectrum, and doing it in 3 hours it is even worse. I guess there are games for everybody, I happen to enjoy both game enourmusly but for very different reason; one tells me a great story and the other allows me to amke a story of my own....Id suggest giving Skyrim another shot, try some mods for the things you do not like, if not I guess you might be out of luck since while the Beth games get better with each release Bioware (since beign bought by EA) get worse and worse...

For ther ecord I believe Dragon Age Origins to be the BEST RPG of all time...

Ive really been thinking of getting a next gen console and my girlfriend is really making a great case for the Wii....but being a College Football freak I cannot believe theres no NCAA for the Wii. Ive played Madden for it and its pretty fun...you could make a acse that the Gamecube versions got bumped off becasue of the general lack of sales for that system, but since the Wii is shaterring every hardware sales record Id guess that there might be a chance for NCAA...I buy my Wii in a heartbit is my favorite series makes it...would any current Wii users be interested in NCAA or am I domed to buy a Xbox?

Mmm if it was most impressive showcase of pc software id give it to Crysis (which im sure will win anyway) but the best GAME as in an experience has got to be either Bioshock or STALKER...Orange box might win best value or something but it doesnt rock my boat

I´m currently saving my pennies for  new PS2, since mine was giving too many freezing problems, and the techs told me that it needed a new laser, which cost about $80 so Im going for broke and buying a new slim one. I got this PS2 arround 2002, and I can honestly say that it must have over a thousand hours of work. Since it´s a well known fact that this things have a limited lifespan most of the hardcore gamers who bought their PS2 fairly early on (the first two years) have been forced to fix or completly overhaul theirs systems...but does anyone still have an older PS2 (four years or more) in working order? and I dont mean someone who only plays Madden on football season; I mean an active gamer who normaly plays if not daily at least a couple of times a week
