New review...Marvel Superheroes: War of the Gems (SNES) Not much going on today so far. Life isn't what I would call great, but it isn't anywhere around bad. A little boring, but that's okay. No important thoughts today either. Wait...here one comes. I'm always reading about how people think they harp too much on abstinence in high school, and they don't talk enough about safe sex. I grew up in SC. One of the most conservative areas of our great nation besides maybe some areas of the great plains. When I took sex ed, yes abstinence was taught as the safest method of safe sex. There isn't any real chance of getting pregnant without sex. I mean, in our history there was one person out of how-many-trillion that was born without sperm attaching to an egg, and that's disputed (it's Jesus if you couldn't figure out who it was). But everyone says that they should teach more about condoms and spermicide and stuff like that. Yeah, kids should know about that kind of stuff sure. Maybe. But shouldn't parents teach their kids. It isn't the governments responsibility. They say that the government has taken responsibility because the parents aren't responsibly. So the parents get off completely. I think if an underage child gets pregnant all the responsibility and some creative punishment should go on the parents. Another things is kids aren't really emotionally mature (or dead) enough to have sex. Not today. Not the way their raised anymore. 100 years ago, probably, but we hold back maturity and growth so much these days that kids aren't mature enough to have sex. They want to, but they aren't ready for it. Most kids don't understand love (as a lot of adults don't) and mistake it with lust or infatuation. This may be in a large part due to pop music. And kids aren't emotionally ready(dead) to just have free sex with multiple partners (even though no one should in my opinion). They haven't had the experience to disconnect any emotion to sex or to be responsible enough to protect themselves from everything. In all, I know that I was taught plenty enough about sex in school. I was taught how to put on the condom. I was taught about how a female condom works. I was taught about spermicide. I was taught about pulling out. I was taught about some many things. Even about oral sex, and how it's a safe option apart from regular sex to not get pregnant, but you can still get STDs. That's what I was taught! And people say the abstinence is taught to much? Free condoms are available everywhere too. I was also taught where to go to get those. Like I said, I was taught in SC these things. I guess all these other people where taught in Vatican City or something. Because I can't figure out many more conservative areas than the deep South. So for not having much to say, I think I said a lot. update: more wasted time... Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 3 (GBA) update: what do I do with me life?... Freedom Force (PC)
