@sirk1264:

I researched a bit and found out that if you change audio settings back to PCM the sound rights itself (haven't tried myself yet) which defeats the object of having 5.1 surround. I'm sure this is a software issue and will have to be rectified in a future firmware update. Whether Sony recognises there is an issue here is another thing.

I have my PS4 connected via Optical out to my Yamaha amp. Today I downloaded Flower and NBA demo. Now, whenever I quit a game the sound starts cutting out or goes completely. The only way to remedy is to power off the PS4.

Is anyone else having these issues and is there a fix?

Thankyou for all your mature and honest replies. I have since decided not to let my son play this and I now know this is the right decision. We live in a quiet little seaside town in England so my son is somewhat sheltered from the real world. Maybe I'll let him play GTA in 4-5 years.

I'm in a bit of a dilemma at the moment and would appreciate any thoughts.

My 12 year old son keeps pestering me for GTAV for Xmas. Now, games are a passion of mine and have been enjoying them since the early 80's. I've played all GTA's so I am well aware of the content. Today I have been playing through GTAV and I think this is an incredible game, definately the best so far. But, I also think this is the most mature so far. There is a lot of stuff going on here that I would'nt want my son to witness. This game has been given an 18 rating for a reason and I'm sure Rockstar are well aware under 18's are playing this but obviously that's out of their hands.

I suppose I'm in the fortunate position (not for my son) that I now what goes on in GTA as many parents just haven't a clue or simply don't care, so when their kid says "can I have GTAV?" Mum and Dad say "Yeah."

The problem is now, if I let my son have this game I'm being a bad parent, but if I say no he'll sulk for the next year because all his friends have it and he'll make me feel a bad parent. So what do I for the best?

This has to be the best review of a game I have ever read. http://www.egmnow.com/articles/reviews/egm-review-the-walking-dead-survival-instinct/ It's hard to believe that this drivel is released in the same window as Bioshock Infinite. Also, try persuading a casual gaming Walking Dead fan to get the vastly superior Telltale games point and click offering without them giving you a look of complete disgust and confusion.

I am on my fourth 360 and I've only had this one 5 months and today I got RRD while downloading the lara croft live game.

I turned the console off and on a few times and then it seemed ok, played the game for an hour with no probs.

I know this console has the later jasper chipset so was surprised when I saw the flashing lights. Yesterday I did have to move cables about at the back of my TV, maybe that has something to do with it? Have ensured all cables are properly in 360 and power supply.

Anyone else experience this. RRD then console works ok

Was reading about Zune coming in next update, so have a few questions if anyone knows the answers.

1. How much will it cost? (I'm located in UK)

2. My TV can't do 1080p, 1080i max. Will the HD movies still display at this resolution?

3. Heard that if your bandwidth is not enough you will have the option to download movies but I can't do that as I only have 2g's left on my 20g HD. So streaming is my only option but I have 10mb virgin cable. Will there be a free test movie to check your connection so you don't pay out for something that won't work?

Now on my third 360. Had this one about 1 year. Just recently got the RROD yet again........yawn!!!!!

But the strange thing is it doesn't happen all the time. If I switch it off then on again it seems to work fine. Last night it worked on the third attempt. Anyone else experience this problem?

Starting to get seriously annoyed now with Microsoft. Thinking of binning 360 and getting a PS3. At least they are reliable.
