The writing was so poor that no amount of cosmetics can make me go back to what felt like a high school hang out in space. I even started choosing squad mates based on who might have the least lines and possibly less cringy comments. Then there is the blue shrek and the other female models, but if there was a decent story and writing that would have been bearable, it was decent enough in DA3 to get me through that beat with an ugly stick fest.
@Legend_of_Link: It's still going to end up with climb this, reveal the map, look, lot's of pointless dots on the map, collect them all. O yea, here's a mediocre story about those evil guys blah blah...
@michael-ibbett: Yea the expansions are great with their own flavor and top notch stories you would expect, just do Blood and wine last as that one gives more of a wrap up to Geralt.
@mycky_c: Tried it, the writer lost me when werewolves were playing dungeon and dragons. glad he's into it but for me at least he dorked up the series with those things, had to stop.
@ggsimmonds All he has to do is deal with 200 story boards instead of 30. The guy has talent no reason why he cant direct the last third of the film the same as the first third.
@ggsimmonds: The point is not if the movie would be made without the game, the point is that the movie is being made based on the short stories, hence it has very rich and creative material to work with. The Witcher books and Universe are far more important then the game in large parts of Europe and it seems those working on it are very familiar with it's source material as well. So it is a book movie and thank God for that.
