Anyone have an extra PS4 code? I'd be forever grateful :)

Alice: Madness Returns - I had no expectations going in ended up enjoying it enough to play through twice and get the platinum. Underrated game imo.

I love this game as well but have only played the "normal" American version until recently. I bought the game on PSN, but it's the Japanese version and wow it's a lot harder. I did manage to beat Airman though.

My favorites are Chrono Trigger and Castlevania SOTN. Also Chrono Cross. And Mega Man 2.

From what I've played so far this year, I think LBP2, Portal 2, Deus Ex, Dark Souls, Batman AC, and Uncharted 3 all deserve consideration. I haven't played Gears 3 but that should probably be included as well. Games still to come that should be contenders are obviously Skyrim and Zelda.

Really tough competition this year.

Super Mario Bros - got it recently as part of the 3DS ambassador program. I've also been playing Metroid and Zelda 2.

I beat the game a few days ago - SL 84 with about 85 hours of playtime. It was an amazing experience - things got a little uneven at the end in terms of quality (lost izalith just sucks all around - both in terms of boss design and level design), and the framerate was unstable most of the game - but the overall package more than makes up for these difficiencies. I enjoyed the last area and boss fight - it took me a few times to get the timing right on when to roll, when to cast, and when to heal, but I killed him with four crystal soul lance shots. The music in the last boss fight is amazing as well.

Dark Souls is easily in my top 5 this gen. The art design in this game is some of the best I've ever seen in a game. I'm going to take a break for a while and then make another run through - not sure if I want to go NG+ or roll with a new character. I'm leaning toward a new character.

Also great review dvader.

Remedy I think i'm missing... I got resist curse from the red coat guy in the new londo ruins but remedy sounds like something I don't have. Remember where you got it? GodModeEnabled

Yeah it's in Blighttown - you have to take the waterwheel up (or come down from Valley of the Drakes) - it's near where you pick up the crimson set and tin banishment catalyst.

Where are you putting your soul sign down at? You need to be somewhere where there are people around your level. Also some of the covenants make it more likely that you will play with others players from that same covenant - try joining way of the white.

[QUOTE="GodModeEnabled"]Thanks Solid appreciate the info. That is SO AWESOME. lol. The sad thing is that I wont ever take this thing outside the house anyways, but i'm sold now. MUST HAVE GIMMIE. Is it going to be backwards compatible with PSP games?

It's backwards compatible with PSP games bought digitally from PSN - apparently graphics will be up-scaled and some games will support dual analog. Sony also said they are still evaluating what to do with UMD's - hopefully there will be a converter or add-on or something.
