@arlonborges: that's ridiculous. I guarantee there aren't people who play only 360 games on an Xbox one. out of those 210 million hours I'd bet that each one of those gamers clocked in at least double the amount of time playing Xbox one titles. As for myself I'd say for every BC game I play I probably play at least 3 or 4 new games in between. I think that's pretty average for the players that use BC

@bdrtfm: but yet you'll trust reviews you read on websites. It seems like you just want to argue over semantics. Use the damn list for what it is: somebodys opinion on the best games of the year- or don't. I couldn't care less

@bdrtfm: so if you had a friend that suggested his 5 favorite movies or games you should check out you wouldn't do it if the score on metacritic wasn't up to par? I'm not saying I would drop $60 on any of these titles but I'd probably pick them up on sale whereas if no one suggested them to me I would just pass them up. I've discovered a lot of games and movies that I really enjoy by listening to suggestions like this list. Take it for what it's worth and nothing more

@bdrtfm: well this type of list should be helpful to a gamer by letting them know which games are worth checking out dick.

@zmanbarzel: I agree. The list wouldn't really be that helpful if they don't include the best games of the year just because they aren't exclusives.

It doesn't really explain why the R rating caused him to take a pay cut. I don't see how the two are relevant

@arlonborges: nobody said that those 50% are only playing old games. It's just a feature that we're taking advantage of and enjoying. That's like saying 50% of Xbox owners use their console to watch blu rays "well that just goes to show you that they don't have any good games"
