well we got a few options:
You need to watch your temperatures and let us know how hot everything is getting. I recommend the program "real temp".
Then download the program "Prime95" and run a "memory blend stress test" which will test your memory. Run it, and if your temperatures are okay, than let it run overnight. [the better option however is to burn memtest86 to a CD or disk and run it overnight.].
These programs are essential for new builds.
Don't worry too much, you will work it out! Don't forget to take a break and get some fresh air so you can approach it with a dedicated "this !@#! is gonna run" attitude :)
IF your ram fails, remove one stick of memory, and try running the test with only 1 stick of ram in the machine. It may be that you need to update your motherboard bios, check to see if one doesn't exist - but do not run any bios updates without passing the memory tests and fixing the freezing!
IF the CPU is getting too hot, then you probably need to remount your heat sink. Also make sure the fans in your case are blowing the proper directions and are working correctly.
Lastly, Is it a clean OS install?
