Dark Souls and Skyrim have been amazing. I loved Dark Souls more however as the atmosphere, grinding and crafting are as fulfilling as Skyrim. Compounded by the fact that it takes actual skill to master different weapons against different NPC's...re-playable! Compounded by the PVP oppurtunities...better...stressfull...addictive. Also the game is all action, no story to skip. I know someone will get really angry at me but keep in mind I am playing Skyrim now and I love it. This game on the otherhand has real potential. I know I am going to like Dark Souls more for the reasons above...it offers things neither of these games do...but it it appears to be somewhere in the middle of the RPG continuum of Dark Souls and Skyrim. The demo felt great...I loved the action oriented combat. Not technically difficult but I enjoyed quickly stringing together dagger, sword and lightning bolts against a foe. I enjoy stealth in a game which Dark Souls lacks and Skyrim's is un-satisfying. I enjoyed the death animations and the weight and tension of the character movement as you approach your foe. And for those who love rich story telling I am sure this game will be on par with Skyrim. Whether it has the same scope as Bethesda's work ... we will see! Anyway I think this game could get legs as it taps into both the Dark Souls and Skyrim communities. DARK SOULS....DARK SOULS...DARK SOULS!
