I played Super Obama World too, this one is different, it's like Bad Dudes.
pacopoolio's forum posts
If you go on XBox Live and go to Marketplace > Community Games, there is a game there where you play as Obama and beat up old ladies and secret service agents while picking up benches and busses and hitting them with them. Has anyone here tried that game out?

And if you re-read my original post, you will notice I clearly state "big name". As in nothing to do with size, and all to do with reputation and history.
I'm not saying Capcom isn't a big name, or a big company. They are however prone to porting their games out to any system that will take them, which is all that I was referencing in my post.dagast2
You're intermixing developer and publisher whenever you feel like it to support your preexisting idea.
Capcom is known to port "exclusive" games to the system with the highest install base; thus RE:4, etc. to the PS2.
Konami has never really been in that position since their exclusive games already started off on the system with the highest install base. Konami controls whether MGS:4 gets ported, not Kojima. However, they still made a Contra and Castlevania for the Genesis, just like Capcom made a SF2 for the Genesis or RE:2 for the N64.
Capcom and Konami are the two most analagous companies, with similar sizes and the exact same business practices/philosophy.

Yes, I intermixed some developers and publishers, I realize this.
Are you telling me that Kojima himself has little control over what happens with the Metal Gear Solid games? If you've been following MGS4 news lately you already know the answer to this.Likewise, EA is a publisher, and one that is notorious for releasing crap. EA owns many smaller game developers, so it's far easier to reference all of these as EA.
But you still didn't really reference any of the substance of my post. Do you see Hideo Kojima scrapping MGS4 and making a party game for the Wii?dagast2
Kojima IS working on a game for the Wii after MGS with Suda (Killer 7, Heroes)...who happens to work for Capcom.
Also, Katamari isn't a casual title; it is a niche/hardcore game. The same goes for Pikmin and Elebits, etc. You're confusing presentation/genre with casual. GTA is FAR more casual than Katamari Damacy; there's no comparison.
which will obviously attrack casual game developers (Katamari Damacy
imagines that big name developers who have released games like Metal Gear Solid
Game developers like Bungie, Kojima, Squaresoft are much the same. They are more interested in creating a great game that will stand the test of time and go down in history than just selling five million units. Game developers like EA, capcom,dagast2
haha, what in the world? You're muddling up publisher and developer and are all confused. So Namco is a casual game developer, Kojima somehow exists outside of Konami, and Capcom is all casual even though some of the most hardcore games ever from the Nintendo days onward come from them. Do you know anything about gaming?
I can put RE4 in my Wii and it looks better than the vast majority of Xbox games or I can put Rogue Squadron in with the same result.
There you go.
If you are 14 yrs old than great; you got a winning console for yourself - someting tells me when you have grown a bit; you may enjoy a more sufisticated form of " Gaming " and will regret the day that gimmick and fluff took over the gaming age.
I will be the first to tell you that - gimmick and fluff is what VG started as but.... those days were and I repeat "were" gone untill the Wii came on the sceen - Nintendo at it's best ! I mean it too !! b/c it is where they excel and unfortunately is where you will have a hand on setting the trend !
For awhile I have been proud to see interactive video games rival hollywood and surpase it in $$$$ and creativity but now it feels to me the gamer will need to take 5 steps backwords in the general publics eyes when - One says " I love VG " so I must be a kid to enjoy this adadolescent hobby - friggin sad !:(
My 2 Cents

Only kids and casuals would even think like that.
