No Brawl does not deserve a perfect or anything near that.......
Even after waiting those many months and then with all the delays the game was way over hype and failed to live up to its precessor....heres why:
Brawl:
1: Controls feel slugish due to the nature that the game is slower compared to melee or 64
2: Because of this slow down characters are"floaty" feeling in the air....which makes it hard to land precise attacks
3: Characters are gigantic compared to melee.....which makes the levels smaller and.....once again i i feel the precise control over your character is gone.
4: levels are to "flashy" and in my opion quickly thrown together.....really what level do you play over and over again....Final Destination
5: Online is pathetic....slow conections....lag all the time......no options.....cant have just 2 on two matches......no way to add people you meet.... the list goes on and on.....
6: Horrible Adventure mode.....level way to generic.....and have nothing resembling nintendo characters in them.....
7: With nintendo's "lets make everything for the casual gaming crowd" they reuined the abiltiy to master the game......there is no room for improvement after you play it a few tims (No wave dash, cancels anything) the competitivity is gone....
See heres what i think of ratings systems....you cant really rait a game when it first comes out......you have to play it then see if you come back for more.......
I would have given brawl a 10 right when it came out, as well......it was everything i hoped for (SONIC) but with all its "flash" there is no substance to keep bringing me back! Thats what games need! That addictive, Beat everything because you want to not because you have to!!!!!
Sorry to say....but the wii after owning since it came out....is just a gimick.....i look back at my gamecube on the shelf and ask myslef.....How are wii sales better then the cube.....with titles like melee, sonic adventure 1 & 2, metroid prime, windwaker, metal gear the list goes on and on........its hard to beleive. Those games had what current games need....that feeling of fun...and wanting to master the game and play it over and over again.......
